Following my plan

My thoughts on how well I am following my plan.

  1. Tired Of Cooking From Scratch!

by on 12-28-2009 at 02:00 PM (katlupe's Low Carb Eating Plan)
Lately, I have been tired of cooking food. I have always cooked from scratch so low carbing wasn't that far off from my regular way of cooking. Maybe I am becoming burned out on it.....cooking from scratch, not low carbing. Though, if I glance at processed foods in the freezer section of the grocery store.......they do not look that appetizing to me. So what to do?

Well last night I took two low carb books to bed with me. Time to scrounge up some "new to me" recipes that ...
  2. Preparing With The Right Foods

Yesterday we had to run an order to the post office to get it mailed quickly. So we took a quick trip to our local Walmart to pick up a few things. One of our favorite flavors of ice cream is Moose Tracks made by Hershey's. Hubby wanted to buy a treat and that's what he chose but not Hershey's, they had Turkey Hill's. He asked if it would bother me if he got it as he knows how much I loved it. I told him no it wouldn't. But when we got home and him and my son took it out and started eating it BEFORE ...

Having access to all the recipe websites such as recipezaar, allrecipes and cdkitchen, etc, just to name a few and that is not listing all the lowcarb sites and blogs where there is a wealth of recipes, it is not difficult at all to find whatever recipe you need. I go to the recipe sites and put "low carb" into their search box and usually get pages. Sometimes I find recipes that are not really low carb but can make the changes to them to make them acceptable to me.

    Using ...

  5. The One Minute Muffin Or Better Known As OMM

by on 09-09-2009 at 03:45 PM (katlupe's Low Carb Eating Plan)
One of the hardest things for most people when switching to low carbs is the no bread thing. I mean, how can you eat a sandwich with no bread? What can you eat with your eggs in the morning? What about peanut butter? You can eat that! But without bread! Anyone care for peanut butter on a spoon? Well, to be honest, I have eaten it that way myself. Not bad.

The One Minute Muffin or better known as OMM comes to the rescue. I eat it with my eggs all the time. I cut it in half ...
