Today, I have decided to do somethings different. I am going to make my own salad dressings and not buy the ones in the store. I also was just about to purchase the DaVinci syrups as they sounded so good, but when I looked at the label......I decided I'd rather make my own of them too. Too much stuff in there that sounds too weird for me. I am not sure of using Splenda, even though I know everyone here uses it, I'd rather use the Stevia as it is from a living plant. Sometimes I'd like something sweet, but not often. That is a new feeling for me as I loved Hershey Kisses and Reeses' Minatures! I don't miss them one bit either.

One thing I really like is that my clothes are getting baggy on me now. Wow! I never thought that would happen so quickly. I have some clothes in a box to take to the thrift store and I am going to look in there to see if there is anything that I might have thought I'd never fit in again. Now I am going to steer away from the baggy clothes look. I was always wearing things that I could hide in. Now I haven't lost enough weight yet to change over, but now I know I will.

Another plus is that I have been going through my "change" and my skin had gotten very dried out. I have been putting Vitamin E oil on it pretty regular as I could not stand it that way. All my life I have been complimented for my skin. So this was a real bummer to me. I thought it was down hill from here. Nope! My skin has become very soft and I have not been putting my oil on it since I started this LCE plan. So it improves my skin too, among all the other things that are improving.

Now I want to tell the world about this awesome way of eating........and this awesome site that is so full of information. I spent some time last night reading a bunch of the success stories and can't wait to get back to them to read the rest. Everyone had gone through so much to reach their goals. I loved the photos! What an inspiration to a newbie!

Katlupe, some people find stevia to be bitter if used in more than a small amount. You might consider mixing it with other sweeteners. I use either Sweetzfree (liquid Splenda) or FiberFit (a more dilute liquid Splenda with fiber added), and sometimes erythritol. If you are using the stevia just to sweeten your tea or coffee, it's probably ok. I really don't know how well it works for muffins & such. I find I don't really care for the bitterness of it.

And it's great to see such improvements - loose clothes, glowing skin, just feeling better in general - fantastic! Keep it up!

the water consumption seems to help with the skin.

regarding sweetners, lots of us here do mix and match, as nita suggested as the combined effect of more than one helps balance out aftertastes and such of one. packet splenda and pourable splenda i'm very cautious with (espeically pourable, since the fillers add plenty of carbs), but few people have issues with liquid versions of splenda. if you do mix some liquid splenda type stuff with your stevia, because it's very concentrated, you also don't need much.

but experimenting and finding what you're happiest with is what this is all about. and congrats on your progress thusfar!
