Today I spent some time with my friend who has just moved four miles away. We have always shopped together, gone out for lunch, etc. I didn't realize it would matter to her so much that I follow a low carb food plan. Everything she mentioned I'd say I couldn't eat it. I have started re-reading my The Power Of Positive Thinking by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. This book changed my life a couple of years ago. My father had given me some books he had on his bookcase and was trying to make room in his house. So he gave me these old books and I was planning on selling them online. Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon with my wonderful father, whom I still call "Daddy". He will be ninety in May this year. Looks more around seventy and is more like sixty in his activity. He is always working on something but most especially on some kind of motors. Like snowblowers, rototillers, lawnmowers and also his car. I hadn't been to my church since I started my LCE. So nobody had seen me until Sunday. Everybody commented on how good I look. Losing 22 pounds does show to people you haven't seen in months! Course it's fun to get dressed up NOW!! Used to hate trying to squeeze into something....and then I'd end up wearing something that I could hide in. Now I still need to lose more, but this is the thinnest I have been in years.

Today my Pastor and our music director from our church are coming to spend the afternoon with us. I am so excited! We hadn't been able to get to our church since the fall. Winter is tough at our house. Can't leave our house alone or our stoves go out and when we go to church we are gone for hours. It is also a long drive. So I haven't seen them in some time.
