Positive Changes For Me

Every time I start to feel this LCE is too good to be true, I refer back to the medical information in Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution book. How could I think this diet was so unhealthy for all this time? Because of being able to eat meat, cheese and butter. The very things that most diets or writers about various medical conditions warn you against. Though now I see that by eating them it keeps me satisfied and I do not crave anything else really.
Last night I made my husband swiss mocha cappuccino after he came in from doing the horses' night hay. It was cold and I have always made it for us when he'd come in from doing that. I have to admit that chocolate smell really did smell good. But I had no urge to taste a little. I drank some ice cold water as I was having hot flashes and my wood cookstove was generating lots of heat.
Today I have to work on some menus to figure out what to eat for this week. I see I need to stock up on some canned tuna and salmon. We also ran out of our salad vegetables which I was relying on. We both have always loved salads. My husband would never eat a salad all the time he was growing up and through out the ten years of his first marriage. After he was divorced and he was living out of town doing a special job for the company he worked for and he was eating in restaurants, one day he went to order and he felt he had to have a salad. He ordered it plain with no dressing and devoured it like a starving man. Something his body told him he needed. He ate it plain like that for about five years and then slowly added the dressing to it. Now he loves to have one every day.
All summer our salad comes fresh from our garden just before our meal. It spoils me as our produce is organic and doesn't cost me anything but the time we both love spent working on our garden. I miss it in the cold weather. Next year, I am hoping to have a green house for cold weather vegetable growing.
What I started out to say in the beginning is that I feel good. I feel healthy and more energetic since I started this. I do not have that bloated feeling at all that I used to have all the time. Even my hot flashes and menopause changes are not even bothering me, though I do drink herbal infusions for that. I had gotten to that point where I was neglecting my looks as I don't really go many places and when you feel unattractive due to your health, you, at least I, don't take the time to worry about my looks. Now I am planning on doing my skin routine and coloring my hair today. My knees still bother me but as I lose this extra baggage I am carrying around I am pretty confident that I will get some relief from that.![]()
