Well, here I go on my first day (again) doing Atkins..This time I'm going to look at it as a life change in my eating habit's..I've been on many other program's and I have to say that after 3-4 day's of being on Atkins Induction, I feel so much better physically & (especially) mentally..The other program's didn't do that for me..

I'm old as dirt & there's diabetes in my family, so it's time to get healthier, not just for myself but for my family as well.

This morning for breakfast I had;
lot's of water
coffee
3 scrambled egg's
melted mozza
coffee
more water

That was 2 hour's ago & I'm feeling hungry now, which will bring on a headache. So I'll keep on drinking as much water as I can..I haven't done my grocery shopping yet..I will today though..I need idea's on induction snack's, so I'll check that out on the site..

    Eileen, I think you may need more protein then just the eggs.. I am following Protein Power and for my age and weight i need 34 grams of protein with each meal.. That will definatly keep you from being hungry.. Good for you on your water... I have drank about 5 glasses of water today. not what i should but much better then before. Each day is a learning day.. I know we will be shedding the fat real soon.. yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaa.. I am an arkansas gal.. Sheila

    Hey Arkansas gal! yeehaa lol

    Sheila, I'm doing Atkins, so I'm only allowed to consume 20 gr of carb's a day while on induction for 2 week's..I know once I'm in ketosis, which last time was the 3rd day, I was feeling super, with lot's of energy..So I hope it's the same this time too..

    It just dawned on me..you were talking about grams of PROTEIN not carbs..
    sorry...I need to wake up

    I've never tried the PPower diet...is it complicated? or fussy?

    Eileen, no it is pretty easy , but i do think going through induction is the best for you, as it realy gets those cravings under control better.. On protein power you just cut down to 30 carbs, a day. split it up for each meal and snack. you do not go over that a day. if you have all 30 at one meal you dont get any more the rest of the day. I never do that. i find it pretty easy.
