Planning my plan
Tags
Sunday I am going to go back to the original Atkins 1972 plan. It's what has always worked best for me. The first time I lost, this was the plan I used. I dropped 85 lbs, wham! And felt great, too.
So, I'm going to go shopping for all the meat, cheese and eggs I'm going to need, and the salad fixings.
I've started a 100 Day Challenge in the Challenge Thread, and anyone who wants to join me can certainly do so. My challenge is to stay on plan from January 6, to not stray even once, for a full 100 days, which will take me into mid-April.
We are planning a trip back to Ohio in May (can't wait to see the tulips and lilacs that should be in bloom by then!), see family we haven't seen in some time, and old friends. We'll marvel at how all the children have grown and are now parents and even grandparents themselves. And lie to everyone about how wonderful they look, and smile when they tell us the same lies! And I want to look a lot better by then, so I really want to be down at least 25 lbs. 50 would be better, but I'll actually take what I can get. We'll be there just over a week. Our flight is booked, as is a motel for the week, and a rental car, so we're all set. I'm sure it will be very hard to stay on plan during that time, but we will make every effort to stick as close to plan as possible. Of course, just the stress of the trip will cause me to gain; it always happens. But without stress, would we really appreciate those rare, non-stressful times? Yes, I think that non-stressful times would be fully appreciated if there was no more stress to bog us down.
