Change in perspective
I've been obsessing over the scales. Weighing every day, being discouraged by the up-and-down, up-and-down movement (enough to cause motion sickness!) of the scales. Seeing a lb go, then return.
I started on the original Atkins plan on January 4, so it's been just a bit over 3 weeks, and as of Sunday I've lost 3 1/4 lbs. At first I was just kind of peeved at not seeing consistent losses, but looking at it again, losing this is actually about a lb a week, a very reasonable loss, nice & steady.
Guess I'll stop the daily weighing, and just do this every Sunday morning. Perhaps I'll have less angst, and feel better about the losses. I'd really be happy with just one lb a week, that would be absolutely fabulous.
