You can purchase cinnamon capsules if you have problems tolerating cinnamon. But, I put about a half teaspoon of cinnamon on a larger spoon, about tablespoon size, add a little sweetener and take the cinnamon followed by a drink of tea.
I use organic cinnamon. The taste is similar to those red hot candies that are popular around the holidays, from Halloween to Christmas.
