I like to drink protein shakes in the morning and have been using whey or egg white protein with only 1-2 carbs per serving. I came across raw hemp seed protein. It has 9 total carbs, but 8 grams of fiber. I am in induction still and want to know if anyone has any feedback about this. Should I be subtracting fiber from carbs if they are that high this early in the program? I am concerned it may slow down weight loss. I am on day 13.

Just a quick post

So here we are....mid week into my 2nd week and still feeling good! I promised not to get on the scale for another week but I just wanted a little peek to see how all was going. Proud to report that the scale shows a loss, my clothes are not as snug as they were just one week ago an my energy is through the roof. Good day indeed.

Menu:

PB vanilla protein shake
2 hb eggs
2 fillets with string beans
PB vanilla shake w/ string cheese
spicy...

great fiber supplement

I wanted to share a new fiber supplement I have been taking that is working great for me. The plan I am following said to take psyllium husk and that made me crampy and gave me a headache so I found unifiber. It is a powder and one tbsp has 3 grams of fiber with only 1 carb. It is like eating an entire bran muffin without the fiber. I take it twice a day and I'm having great results. Just wanted to share for anyone who is interested. Constipation was one of my biggest concerns when starting...

Keeping my stride up and weight down

All in all things are progressing well with my eating plan, exercising and my general outlook. I had one slip up yesterday. Seriously, I didnt even realized that I had grabbed a handful of crackers and popped them right in my mouth (wasnt even hungry) and immediately I thoight "Ok, you blew it!" Hi, this is my 9th day of a low carb eating plan. I am following the Idiot proof diet plan and I like it. I think the reason it is working for me is that I am eating butter, heavy cream, good oil, and eating rich cheese. I do not think I would be able to maintain a low fat low carb diet because it would feel too restrictive. I have been depriving myself my entire life and every meal has seemed like a chore, unless I was just not caring and eating all of the wrong things. This low carb lifestyle...
