Family Drama

This is a tad long, and maybe tmi, but - what the hey, we're all friends here. Also, I'm honestly concerned about this effecting my eating, in a bad way!! Got a call from my baby bro last night - he is FINALLY leaving/kicking out that gold digging tramp he married (gee, get the impression I don't puffy heart my SIL?) I actually didn't meet her until he brought her to LA to get married (our dad is in a care facility and I'd arranged to have the wedding there) - so I'd hadn't chance to check...

little sleep, but doing well

LONG story short, my baby bro called late last night and I'm flying on 4 hours of sleep right now (thankfully, I can work in zombie mode!)

Last night stopped by the market, got some flax meal and tried the OMM - omGAWD that thing rocks!! Also clears you out, but wow, what a great find. I learn so much just cruising through the threads here.

Lack of sleep = lack of appetite so I've only had chicken broth so far today. Lunch I've got what I call 'cheesy chicken' - chix...

Food from yesterday and so far today

yesterday -
B- chicken salad, strawberries
L - corn beef & cabbage
D - I pan grilled NY steaks - soooo good and a whole artichoke that I'd marinated over night in Paul Newman's Own

later, I wanted a 'nibble' and did something I would never have considered before - broccoli cole slaw - I've been having this with lunch, but the crunch/creamy/bacon taste really hit the spot as an evening snack!

Though I wanted to hit the treadmill, I had a meeting...

Monday Monday

Well, big note to self - take time to properly pack up your lunch carrier! I make it a point to have several meal options - cause at the butt crack of dawn, you never know what will sound good at noon. Well, I overslept and just grabbed some corn beef and cabbage - yea, *blech* - did that yesterday and really could have gone for a big salad instead (and dork that I am, just remembered I could have ordered one from downstairs - arrrrrg!) I dunno, maybe I'm still worn out from the Disneyland trip?...

Skinny Jeans

Hi everyone! Getting this blog thing right is all new to me. Let me know if I mess up.
I have been low carb since Jan. 2008 - no sugars, no starches. I have not lost any weight yet as my daily carbs are still a little high. I need to lose 20 lbs so I can get into my skinny jeans!
I'm a total believer in low carb being the most healthy way to eat and like to read the latest scientific studies.
