Two Weeks Down and a New Home

Wow, I'm so hyped. Two weeks down and 10 pounds lost. I thought about going into OWL but I was so satisfied with what I ate on induction that I'll just play around with between 20 and 25 carbs. I'm actually a bit scared to add more carbs, afraid it will stop my weight loss altogether or actually cause me to crave more things.

I think I am becoming addicted to bacon, though. Yummy to just eat, and delicious in a salad.

I have to confess that I played around on another...

Steady wins the race

My weight hasnt changed in the last week BUT I have been exercising like a maniac so I just know that I am building muscle which is why I am not showing any difference on the scale. I have been on plan and drinking plenty of water soooooooo I figure: Steady wins the race! To health that is. My clothes are filling loser and I dont have that bloated feeling at all my energy is up and so I figure the weight will catch up (or down ) when its ready.

I am so excited for dinner tonite...

Back to the grind

Boy o boy the weekend really went by fast! I got a lot of house cleaning done, spent time with hubby and took a yoga class.....stayed really close to plan but indulged in a cookie (bad girl) but went right back to plan. I had the best bacon cheeseburger (protein style of course) but I kept eyeballing my hubbys fries! In the end I resisted of course. Did my hike today and my walking partner told me she is going out of town next week on business so I have to make it my business to motivate myself...

My FIrst Low Carb Day

I am new to this board. Today is my first low carb day. I have exactly 20 days until my wedding and I just want to lose weight. My goal number would be 19 pounds but I am not holding my breathe. I would be very happy with 9 pounds.

Today I am just trying to focus on no carbs. It is so hard for me right now. I want something sweet and totally over-filling. Cheeseburgers are my weakness and the bun is the best part. But looking great in my wedding dress is a big deal to...

Kill the Carb Monster Forever

Today is Day 12 of my new way of eating. I started with Atkins on August 5th. It's not the first time I've done Atkins, but it seems different than many years ago. I had gastric bypass on September 18, 2006, and never reached my goal. Why? Because of the Carb Monster!!! We were taught to eat protein first, vegetables and fruits second, and then carb IF WE HAD ROOM. Did I follow those rules? No! And what happened? I did not reach my goal, and then I started gaining. When I gained 15 pounds...
