Today started off like any other ordinary "weekend" type day. I woke up this morning around 8:00 thinking about what all I needed to accomplish today. Sunlight was streaking through the bedroom curtains telling me it was another crisp and beautiful winter day - no rain today. My 10 yo daughter was still in bed and the dogs were begging to go outside. We have 2 dogs, a collie and a peek-a-poo. DH let the dogs out and I did my normal morning ritual of running downstairs to weigh myself...
OK, I've always heard about how after the first few weeks of induction your energy not only comes back but will increase ... Well, I wasn't sure if that would work for me - I've done so many diets and never quite got there in the last few years. I didn't know If I could ever get there again. Well, what a surprise when about 1 week ago I woke up and oddly enough felt really well rested - something I haven't experienced in a few years. My daily backache was gone, my headache gone and the strange foggy...
I have only eaten 867 calories today according to fitday. I need more food but I don't know what I will eat. Maybe something from pumpkin. Sounds good. Pumpkin Pudding from canned pumpkin.
79.5 calories per serving. Prot 3.5 g, carb 10.67 g., fiber 3.55 g., fat 3 g.
Well, my "little changes" plan seems to be going along okay. I haven't weighed in recently (and I know my first 5 pounds were water weight, totally expected), so I'm not sure on the pounds. And for what I'm doing, I don't want to live on the scale. Once every week or two is about right for me at this point.
I do know, though, that I'm feeling pretty good overall-particularly with the level of stress I'm managing currently, and I know I'm eating carb-friendly a good 90-95%...

Doing well and feeling good. Mental attitude still positive. No cravings to speak of. It's strange when I think about chocolate candy I don't crave it like I usually do. I did make the 1 minute chocolate cake and DH and I shared it. It really hit the spot. Had a little dab of Land 'O Lakes Sugar Free Whipped cream on it. Mmmmmm. Darn I just remembered I forgot to bring my lunch of leftovers to work this morning.
