Thread: Thanksgiving Challenge

Noel, if someone does attack you withliposuction overnight--send them my way too--I need to lose 7 magically! I am not going to make my goal and since we leave town tomorrow and won't be back til sometime Friday I won't be weighing until after Thanksgiving--bad idea there so I will wait til Sunday on my regular day to report anything in. . .am NOT expecting anything so goes my week!

Thanks Mada for hosting the challenge and I too have enjoyed the camraderie of the challenge even though I didn't come close to my goal I always enjoy keeping tracka nd having some accountability AND watching everyone else have success!

I am not having any luck in the losing dept either. I figure I am at a plateau of some sort. I have started increasing my veggies and stuff. But have not been able to exercise much recently and that must be hindering my losing. I cant wait for the dizzyness to go away so that I can start moving.

well, I took a little detour the last month, but nearly back at sig weight, although still a few lbs short on my challenge.
But I'm headed back in the right direction, and that is what matters.

You all can send that liposuction wand bandit my way too! I won't be making my goal because of some "detours" (as MK put it) as well. But, like everyone else has mentioned, it has been fun! And I love to watch people succeed! It's inspiring.

Congrats to all of you who stuck with this challenge - goal met or not. There's something to be said for that.

BTW Noel, you really did have an ambitious goal, but even so, you've still lost an amazing amount of weight! You should be proud of that!!

Well, no change for me this week, so that means I won't meet my goal either. At least I weigh less than when we started right? Thanks Mada for hosting and great job to everyone! I will be leaving town tomorrow, so we'll see what morning weigh in brings (I doubt much...) - hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Not going to reach my goal. THe scale keeps moving between 188 and 191. I know that I have to exercise but this dizziness is just starting to let up. Maybe I can be better enough by Friday to do one of the exersize videos. I gotta get moving so the scale will get moving. I know that my food choices have been fine. So it has to be the exercise.
I am getting frustrated but not discouraged. I know the scale will move soon enough.
I also received news from the doc that my glucose level was elevated. So more of a reason to be sure that my body keeps moving. I was insulin dependant during both pregnancies and did not like it one bit! I do NOT wish to live that way for the rest of my life. I have to get up and MOVE. I gotta make the dizziness go away! (if only willing it away worked!)

I surrender--someone else wins--no loss-not that I expected one--haven't lost a single pound since before Halloween so why start now???? LOL I am still yoyoing between 162 and 167. THis morning was on the high side, but I had ice cream last night so I didn't expect anything less! Ihave lost 3 inches since Halloween so progress is being made!

Yeah.. I didn't make it either! But that is ok.. there is always another challenge!

Great job to all those who did make there goal! Good job to those who lost something or even stayed the same. Not gaining anything is half the battle! Every one have a great thanksgiving!

Be careful when you start exercising Amy. Don't want to make yourself sick or get injured by passing out. Not good.

We may not have won this battle but the war rages on, Lori. And in the long run you know you are kicking major booty.

Everyone has a great attitude and we tried together. That was what it was all about.

Final update.

Thanksgiving morning weighed in at 353. Three pounds short of my goal but it's all good. I've already expressed how I feel so no need to rehash that.

I was not on plan Wednesday or Thanksgiving Day, but I didn't gain.....I was at 225 for my Turkey Day challenge weigh-in. That's 7 pounds from my goal. When I saw 221 a few weeks ago, I thought getting to 218 would be easy. Duh! I'm back on plan today, and I'm gonna try to meet my New Year's goal of 213. I've got some major work ahead of me!
