Exclamation CCC September Challenge!

Here we go! Another month and another new beginning! This is the CCC (Counting Carbs and Calories) September challenge. Come on aboard and lets all be BIG LOSERS!
As part of my challenge:
  • I am going to track everything I eat and drink for the month of September in fitday.com. (writing everything down on vacation in a journal to be added when I return home)
  • I will post everyday (except on vacation - no computer)
  • I will drink my water
  • I will come here with all my successes to help motivate and IF I stumble, I will confess and find my motivation with others' sucesses.
So how about you? Are you in? What will you commit to for the month of September?

O.K. Glo, I'm in - my birthday's this month, and September 1 is always the beginning of the year for me.

This month I will:

Join you on the fitday journaling ( I have it on my PC)
Go back to drinking my water
Get in between 1-3 hours of exercise per day (hey, I've already got in 2 hours today)
Resume my weight training

Those are my goals for this September :jump:

Glo, I am in, too! For the last week or so I have been tracking everything on Diet Power. I imagine FitDay is similar. Aren't they great tools?

My goal is to lose 5 pounds (maybe more if Dr. agrees I am hypo). AND on days that I do not work, to get on that darn treadmill and try to get it up to 20 minutes!

Glo-I'm in too.

My goals are as follows
  • Drink at least 1 gallon of water a day
  • Take a walk outside at least three times a week
  • Do my situps every night while watching the news
  • Try one new low carb recipe a week, so as not to get bored
  • Lose 8 pounds
  • Join Fitday so I can more accurately count my intake
If I can get through these then next month I can look to increase my exercise. It's just tough when you are first starting after being a couch potato for too long.

I did pretty well today:

3.5 hours at the gym (spinning, 5 miles on the treadmill, and 1/2 mile on the elliptical machine).

64 ounces of water (hey - it's an improvement)

20 minutes of weight training

Fitday indicates that I'm at about 24 carbs today - overall, a great day.

Another half pound gone for good! Isn't it funny how when you think you may have eaten too much, that the weight does drop a little?

Diet Power calories allowed: 1413
Basal metabolism calories needed to function: 1337
Calories eaten: 1473
Carbs: 19
= half pound gone!

Go Alida!!! Sounds like you are doing great. Tina - 3.5 hours at the gym, you go girl!! My report for Day 2 is:

I drank 96 oz of water!
I am posting today.
I tracked in fitday - 1541 total calories.
I exercised - Walk Away the Pounds (1 mile)
Weight was up a pound - but I think it was from the indulgences on Aug 31 (bad, bad, bad)

Doing great Everyone!

Alida - the flip side to that is when you've done everything right and you gain.

I've been very careful the past 4 days with carbs/calories and it's paid offf with a 2 pound loss since sunday. Well really 2 pounds since a week ago Sunday, which was my last recorded loss. Check my signature - Okay you've probably seen me bragging all over the forum. LOL

Yeah Rob ONE HUNDRED pounds gone!!!!!!!!!!! WTG you are doing great! Today I have had 1247 calories and I have just done the WTPA one mile walk.

Rob - that's sooo great What an inspiration.

Glo: Keep up the WATP tapes - my highest praise for Leslie is that I had to turn off the sound eventually, since I knew the dialogue by heart

Got in 2 1/2 hours at the gym today - 3 miles of walking, lower body weight training, and an hour long cardio latin dance class.

1305 calories and 25 carbs.

Down 1.5 pounds!!!!!

Tonight's dinner will be a challenge. We are going to a BUFFET! My plan is to hit the salad bar first and have a nice crispy green salad then go for the lower calorie protein choices. I will let you know how I do.

Celebrated my hundred lost a little too much yesterday. Ended up at 70 net carbs and 3200 calories. But wednesday My net carbs were 40 and calories - 1670.

I ended up with 1728 total calories for today. I did pretty well at the buffet. Probably ate a bit more than I should but it was all protein. I wasn't even tempted by dessert! I came home and did my WTPA one mile. I have had my water for today. I am feeling good and in control.
