As for me, no loss this week. Thanks for the welcome Maxibee! It is cool to go through these challenges with you - though with my weight loss stalling lately, I think you will reach the "teens" before me.

Ashley, we are a pretty relaxed bunch, so just weigh-in whenever you like! And welcome to the challenge!

Down one pound. If you've read some of my other posts you know this is good since I have had two cheats. So I am happy and ready to get back on the wagon.

Alright, everyone! I've reviewed your posts carefully and I'm posting your stats with this disclaimer: I am happy to receive all corrections regarding these stats! I hope I get them all right this time! If I show you "holding" at your sig. weight, I did not see any posts reporting losses. Let me know!

Maxibee:226/226/221~holding at 226, 5 to go
Amy G:195/195/187~holding at 195, 8 to go
Brandy:163/163/153~holding at 163, 10 to go
Funkynut:223/223/210~holding at 223, 13 to go
Tina B:193/193/187~holding at 193, 6 to go
April:211/209.5/201~down 1.5 lbs., 8.5 to go
Husker's:170/168.5/161~down 1.5 lbs., 7.5 to go
Cushie:376.5/375.5/366.5~down 1 lb., 9 to go
Niki:219/216/199~down 3 lbs., 17 to go
Janine:181/181/175~holding at 181, 6 to go
ladygirl:205/205/190~holding at 205, 15 to go
DecemberAngel:168.5/168.5/148.5~ holding at 168.5, 20 to go
maggie1:189/189/181~holding at 189, 8 to go
Ashley:146/145/135~down 1 lb., 10 to go
Clemmy 2:235/235/225~holding at 235, 10 to go
Biddy22:227/227/221~holding at 227, 6 to go

The group is down 5 pounds as of this weigh-in, thanks to April, Lori, Noel, Niki, and Ashley. I think I can speak for the rest of us "holders"....we hope to join you all in the losers column next time!

Personally, I struggled all week to get back to my sig. weight. I was just about to change it to 227, when I went back to 226. I feel like I lost a week to this struggle. Last weekend, I made a simple apple/walnut bake using Splenda to sweeten it, and not much anyway. But each day I ate some, I gained. Instinctively, I think it was the baked apples. Don't they become more "sugary" when cooked? Anyway, this week I went back to making my version of l/c cheesecake w/fresh fruit on top. I feel safer with that!

I was in the kitchen for 3 hours today. I boiled some eggs for snack this week. I made some breakfast for the week: eggs, sausage, & cheese on whole wheat l/c tortillas. I made the l/c cheesecake w/the fruit, and I used the other cream cheese to make some shrimp dip. For that, I prepped some celery to eat with it...YUMMY! I had a handful of walnuts leftover from the cheesecake crust, so I toasted them in a pan with butter, a packet of Splenda and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Marvelous.

Tonight, I'll pack my cooler to take with me to work. I'll include the boiled eggs, yogurt, empty smoothie bottles filled w/soynmlk, ready-to-eat bacon, the breakfast burritos, bottled water, fruit, celery and shrimp dip, and maybe a piece of the cheesecake. During the week I supplement the cooler with more water and leftovers for lunch the next day.

Take care everyone! Congrats to the losers! I gotta go....my steak's ready, and I need to get my salad together. (Can't wait for the cheesecake later!) Have a great week!

well ladies I'm still 205, I can't resist cheating but I must stop because, I recently saw my brother in law's wife yesterday and she was bigger than me and back down to her size already she was very determined to lose the weight and stayed on her diet now thats motivation lol. I must get into healthy eating habits or food will be my downfall.
So from here on out I promise to report a lose this week I have to start induction all over again and go back to square one but that's okay as long as I get to my size, I can't let anyone else pass me up it's embarrassing lol.

Ladygirl, motivation is a good thing, where ever you find it. It sounds like your SIL's success is an inspiration for you. I'm confident you can stay on plan if you focus on your eating choices and the benefits of eating well.

Just don't let competitiveness get in the way of your "mindset". Try not to feel "beaten" by another person's weight loss or "victorious" compared to another person's lack of weight loss. Over my lifetime, I've found that kind of thinking just doesn't get me where I want to be. I'm more successful if I just focus on my own progress, except for drawing inspiration from others' success. (I just re-read that - my apologies in advance if that comes off as too preachy )

I notice shopping is becoming a bit of a strain. Last week (mid-September), I saw that the Safeway grocery store was already filled with Halloween candy - prominently displayed in massive mountains near the front of the store. After the first siren call, I wheeled my cart around in the other direction, taking pains to not ~even~ glance towards the display!

I hate that. I find I'm doing more shopping at places like Trader Joes or Whole Foods just to avoid some of the crass commercialism of the mainstream grocery chains. DH does the Costco shopping alone, so I'm out of the temptation zone there.

Good advice, Teelbee!

I FINALLY saw 225 today! I hope to see it again tomorrow, so I can claim it! I'm not sure, but I THINK I can almost see the 'teens from here.....maybe if I stretch and get on my tiptoes! (I'd better go stretch and get on the Gazelle!)

NO I really didn't mean it like that lol! I am happy for her because I know my SIL and my brother in law (my husband's brother) are going through a lot and it's encouraging to see her lose all of her weight, she is definitely a motivator to me if anything lol. She lost on the Atkins diet , what tripped me out I just saw the girl at the end of June and she's small already now thats motivation and determination. I have been so depressed and down lately, seeing other people in situations still lose weight encourage me even more to do it. I have never been to traders joes I plan on going on the weekend, Have you tried the Hansen's pop's? I heard they were really good today I manage to see Campbell's with low-carb soup. I guess everyone is on the low-carb band wagon lol. Thanks for the encouraging words I really needed to hear some inspiration, I need to pray more and pay more attention to my Christian life

I just got a tanita scale the other day I will weigh in tommorrow

My 225 turned into a 227! AAARRRGGHHHH! I think TOM is packing heavy for this visit! I refuse to have a fit about it. I've stayed on plan except for one 5 carb indescretion. Not bad for a PMSer!

I AM GOING TO MAKE MY GOAL WEIGHT FOR THIS CHALLENGE. I started this challenge and I fully intend to get to my goal: 221 lbs. by Halloween. My weight varies, but I manage to take off (and keep off) at least 2 lbs. per month. After TOM's gone, I hope to see a whoosh!

Hey Maxibee - I had TOM this week too. Earlier in the week, I was up a lb, but today showed down 0.5 lb so I'll take it. Maybe next week will be brighter! So that puts me at 226.5 - I hit the Russell Stover's pretty hard earlier this week, so I guess I'm lucky to see any loss at all. I actually haven't seen the Whoosh Fairy in quite some time...I think she lost my address!

So far this week I was 226-226-225-227-226. TOM's not here yet, so I'm not sure how I'm going to do this time. I stayed on plan today, but our company got here late and we ate at almost 8:30 p.m. tonight. I don't like to eat after 7-7:30. We'll see!
