Great Robin! Sometimes it helps to brush up on the basics! I had a successful weekend. I stayed away from snacking I had a bit more calories than I should to lose but I maintained. The two glasses of red wine probably didn't help! I am tracking today and ready to begin another successful week!

Welcome Febe! Great to have you back!

Had a really bad Sunday this weekend and am suffering today. Went to my old Sunday football gathering that I had given up last season. Which means 10 miller lite beers and enough snacks to keep an elephant alive for a week.
I cannot even estimate my caloic intake. Though all the snacks were low carb they do mount up when you eat them continuously. It's time to get back to serious on this woe!

Wow, Rob. 1411 calories! That's about my caloric intake (at 5'1 and female!) You are really serious. BTW, would you mind sharing that day's menu? I am curious how you got 40 net carbs at only 1411 calories.

Sure Alida

I had a cup of cottage cheese for 5.6 net carbs. A 10 ounce package frozen spinch - 5.5 net. 3 wasa rye - net 15 carbs. The half of a really small apple was 7.5 net. The rest was from salad and cheese and small stuff. The reason my calories stayed so low was I made turkey breast for dinner. That is so low in calories that it always gives me a good calorie day. Of course I'll be eating turkey for lunch today as well as dinner. Then tomorrow...................

Good day yesterday! No scale movement but I think that is because we had ham for dinner - may be retaining just a bit of H2O. Rob - Keep it up. It sounds like you are doing great. My cals for yesterday were around 1800. That is the high end of where I want to be.

Well, my first day of induction. 2146 calories, 16 carbs. I seem to be a lot higher in calories than everyone else...is this normal for induction?

Robin, After a while you won't wat to eat so much when ketosis starts. Also we are probably eating a lot more veggies than you. Atkins does say don't get hungry in induction. I think it your appetite will be reduced as you keep going and your aclories will get better when you substitue some higher carb veggies (but not too high) for some of your other higher calorie low-low carb foods.

I had a long day at the office and no baby carrots to snack on. I was OK, but didn't get lunch until 3. I wasn't starving until I started eating (I ate breakfast at 8) then I felt like I had waited too long. But I didn't go overboard. In fact, I was a little low with both carbs and cals today. I had a great supper with fresh salmon and a veggie side.

So my totals for the day are 1200 calories and 22 carbs.

I could have had some nuts today.

I found some lc breaded chicken that is so good. But better for after induction. I think It's called Clux Delux. But I only found it at Albertson's. Hmmm. I need to get some more of that.

I did OK today with 1746 calories and 29 carbs.

I failed the past 2 days at keeping my calories really low to make up for Sunday. But I wasn't really out of the ball park on either calories or carbs.

The past two days have not been good. DH is out of town and I have a tendency to graze at night to stay occupied. I have not made very good choices. He doesn't come back until Sunday and I can't keep this up. I plan on doing better tonight. It isn't bad until the kids are in bed and I am alone and watching tv. No snacks tonight - I need to stay in control!
