CCC = Counting Carbs and Calories

Some of us have found that watching the amount of calories along with controlling our carbs, helps us maintain or lose.

Oh I see!
I counted both for a long time and now I think I know what it takes by heart. I think it is important key to be aware of not only carbs but intake as well.

Thanks,
Susie

My first day is out of the way for this month. I was doing really well until I felt the need for a late night snack about 10 p.m. But I didn't exceed my goal calories and carbs by much. Total calories -2090, Net carbs - 52. My goals for October are to average 2000 calories and 50 net carbs.

Oct 1 was so-so for me. I was at about 2000 cals. We went out to dinner at a local buffet. I probably had more than I should but this morning I did maintain. The one thing I didn't do yesterday was snack in the evening. That's what usually gets me. I am trying very hard not to eat after 7pm. I did well with my water intake also. Now on to Day 2! I have lots on my to do list today so hopefully I will be so busy I won't even have to think about staying on plan. Good luck to all this month! We can do this.

October 2nd - much worse than the first as far as calories (2800+) but net carbs were only 38. The problem - Made up a family size package of chicken legs for dinner and lunches or snacks for a few days and ended up eating 3 for dinner and 2 as snacks late night. So that was more than 1300 calories just in chicken legs. Creamed spinach was higher in calories than I thought it would be. At least I walked 4 miles yesterday

I have done well today. I made lasagna for the family and made a dish of pasta free lasagna for me. It was wonderful. I did have a glass of merlot. That's it for me today. Water intake has been low. I always have a tougher time on weekends. It is so much easier to reach for a diet pop.

I have logged in my foods for everything up to lunch. Tonight is leftover pastaless lasagna and a big salad. I am off to drink my water (thank goodness the office is close to the ladies room

Good luck all and keep on counting. This is a tough time of year but I am determined to get through this for my health and sanity!

Calories for today were 1127. Not bad. Carbs were at 42 net. I have to work on that one. Still that's better than if I was off plan. Now I just have to stay away from the pantry till bedtime LOL. How is everyone else doing?

I'm trying to compensate for my bad saturday. Had 1950 calories and 51 carbs on sunday and 1550 calories and 29 carbs Monday. Will try to keep tuesday in line with monday and that should put me at 2100 calories average for october. But i've finally seen the scale move this morning. Down 1/2 a pound since Sunday.

I was so super hungry yesterday that I was unable to keep my calories down. But my binge was all low carb stuff. I had an almost an entire 7 ounce wheel of gouda. ouch.
