Barb - You did good to get to curves, nap or not. Your temperature is actually a few degrees higher than mine today.

Cynthia - Good for you!

It was too beautiful yesterday not to walk. I ended up doing the full seven miles around the lake. So far I am at 23 miles for the month so I feel like I deserve a break today, it is a bit cool (no sun to be seen as yet). Might just revisit my tater roots.

No, probably won't go much further on it until next month.
We have the BIG national users meeting in Las Vegas at the end of October.

Spending most of my time now organizing record keeping and getting things ready for that (partnership registration, business cards, etc).

Hope it clears up fast.

Checkin' my e-mails and then headin off to Curves again today. I think I'll treat myself tonight and go to Portillo's for their yummy Pecan Chicken salad for dinner. I bought some Raspberry Davinci and am going to make a raspberry vinagrette dressing ................YUM!!!!!!

Mary Kay and Barb - Ha! I didn't walk yesterday! AND It felt good! Actually I decided I was going to walk after all but time just got away from me and I only had a one hour window to exercise before dark. I used that hour to buy new walking shoes. My old ones were so ratty and, according to my walking logs, they had 440 miles on them. I've seen homeless people with better shoes. That 440 is just for my walks, I also wear my walking shoes about 95% of the time when I go anywhere.

Don't beat yourself up Mary Kay. You've been going through a lot lately with your foot and your business. Business, unfortunately, always has to come first. When everything settles down, you'll be back to curves or Bally's in a flash.

LOL Rob, but you DID think about it!!!! Hehe, I THINK about going to Curves a lot but don't always go. I am going to go again after work, that will be 3 days in a row. I think you deserve those new shoes!!!!

I haven't posted here yet this month because my roots wouldn't let me. I've had a lot of energy but done nothing with it besides every day ho hum things.

Tonight I finally put the tape in the VCR. After cleaning adn doing everything to avoid actually doing it I pushed play. You know what is felt good. I only made it through the warm-up, the 1st aerobic section and stretching (which only amounted to about 12 minutes) but I did get my heart rate up. I'll keep on and work my way through the whole thing eventually but I am taking it slow. My legs were turning to jelly. I hadn't done that much for a while.

Noel - It's definitely best to start slow with those tapes. It usually takes me about a week to be able to do a complete workout from my fat burning workout tape.

I was planning on walking the 7 miels around the lake yesterday but my new Nikes were starting to give me pain after the first mile. So I just did 5 miles.

Well, I think one of the criteria here for Couch Fauxtaters is that we reserve the right to change our minds. So, .............. I changed my mind. I didn't go to Curves yesterday, but fully intend to today. It's rainy and icky here today, but boy did we need the rain. It's a good day to do a work out.........................after a nap. (didn't sleep well last night.)

Barb I now realize you're right about breaking in shoes slowly. I did 4 miles at teh lake today in my new Nikes (after 5 mi. yesterday) and experienced some pain. When I got home and took off my shoes and socks I boticed one toenail was bleeding. Well long story short the entire nail came out from the root. Ouch dammit ouch. I hope I'll be able to walk tomorrow or at least by Sunday. It;s really painful and I'm hobbling around.

ROB!!!! The shoes didn't do that did they??????????? YIKES!!!! Had you damaged the nail before that? YOUCH!!!!!!! Take care of it so it doesn't get infected. Whenever I have a toenail problem, I dig out the epsom salts and do a soak. AY AY AY!!!!!!

Just got back from Curves and yacked with the gal there the whole time. It was fun!!!!
