I'd like to join, if you all will have me! I'm crawling back to LCing after being derailed this summer and gaining back all the weight I lost, plus some. I need a challenge to keep me on track thru the holidays, because I plan on losing weight and not gaining.

Thanks! And congrats to all of the losers! Keep up the good work!!!

Noel - I need to adjust my starting number. I had forgotten when I put in 223 that I had put on some water weight from salty hot dogs. When I weighed in this morning, unfortunately I still have 1-1/2 water on me. My start is 224 and I will still go for 218 as 01/01/05 goal.

Today is my weigh in day, but as I said I will post tomorrow everyone's updates, so get them in by Monday afternoon if you have one.

I had a little woosh. I'm happy to report a 3 pound loss.

Jenna, let me know what you'd like your goal to be, we'd be happy to have you

Sorry, Noel....I've been kinda out-of-pocket this weekend. Hope you're doing okay...a 3 pound whoosh sounds like you are. Put me down for 223....although I'm sure after tonight, it won't be that again tomorrow! LOL!

I would love to join this challenge to get me back on the right track. Last year, at this time I had lost 30 pounds and was feeling great. Since that time, I have went up and down and during the summer went completely off my plan. Now I'm ready to get serious again! I have crept back up to 196 and I would like to be down to 180 on New Years Day, therefore, my goal for this challenge is 16 pounds.

I know all of you will be a great inspration to me!

Have ya'll ever done this? Moved the scale to different parts of the room (even to different rooms!!!!) to see if it will give a lower reading?

I have stood on my scale every way possible (short of standing on my head) and it just will NOT go below 200!!!!!!!

So, my loss for last week is 1 pound. However, I am NOT discouraged, I am motivated.

It is exactly 2 months from today till New Year's day and I will lose this weight, one inch at a time!

Sista you and I must be psychically linked. If you read on my journal I did the same thing Saturday. Kept moving the scale around and then moving it into a different room. Only in my case it was becuase I didn't believe I had lost as much as I did.

Isn't it funny how we think moving the scale will magically produce different results.

For me it's odd that I don't want to believe I am doing as well as I am. I guess that my self-esteem isn't where it should be yet. And no matter how many times I write how good I am doing I can't convince my inner self of it.

I'm glad you aren't getting discouraged sista. You are right. One inch at a time.

I put a dress on today that was skin tight when I started and now I can pull it out about four inches. That visual will really help me. I'm sure you're motivation will get you through any slow spots.

Posting updates later when I have more time.

OMG! I thought I was the only one to move the scale around! I will consistantly use the same spot of it is always giving me a lower number, but once it goes no where or up, I start scooting it all over the bathroom - looking for that magical spot in the floor. (This week I'm still scooting!)

I didn't update for this week I guess. . .I lost a tentative one pound! making me 163/162/149--I am altering my goal for this challenge by a few pounds--I have slowed dramatically the last few weeks and think anything under 150 will be a good goal.

Alright people - count me in! :jump:

I've been toying with the eighties for the last several months.

I'm at 190 currently, and want to hit the 50 pounds gone mark for the new year.
