Please count me in too! I would like to lose 15 lbs between now and 1/01/2005.

That would make me:

Yes we can ShortStuff!

Welcome to all the new challengers. I post updates on Monday evenings.

I'm already looking to Thanksgiving. The friends that inited me knows I am on low carb and is making lc cheesecake. I'm excited to have someone else cook for a change. I still haven't figured out what to bring with but I have time.

Christmas IS a hard time. It will actually start around here soon enough at the office we'll get gifts of cookies and candy from clients. Hopefully some of them will have some nuts like almonds or macademias.

Hey, Noel! How are you? I've been kinda bummed all week, but haven't gone crazy with the eating. I'm down 2 pounds from my carbfest gain. I plan to spend the weekend buckling down with the carbs, exercise, water, supplements, etc. Maybe I'll have a loss to report on Monday. Take care!

Good for you Maxi. It's hard not to eat when you ar ebummed when you are use to it. Glad your scale is moving in the right direction.

Cynnie, you're kicking major behind!

I'm actually looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow. Got through a birthday party today unscathed. I brought most of my own food. Only ate the brisket from the bbq joint (no sauce, brought in some carb options).

Cushie - Congrats on getting through the birthday party!!! Those are so hard for me...no one ever has LC munchies at them and of course there's the cake! I have one to go to in a few weeks and I think I'll follow your lead and bring stuff that I can eat too!!
Actually my friend that is throwing the party just asked for help in losing weight, he's seen just how much I've lost in just the past week and a half and asked what my secret was. Whenever anyone asks me about getting into this WOE I always direct them to this site, so maybe we'll have a newbie on our hands soon!!!
Thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it. I had been struggling for a while but I finally feel like I'm ready to put 100% into getting back into shape and down to a more healthy weight. I've already got a ton more energy which is FANTASTIC.

Congrats to everyone, you're doing a great job!!! :jump:

Hi!

I am new to this forum and noticed the Happy New Year Challenge. I have been trying to get hyped up about my diet and exercise in order to make it (not blow it) over the holidays. I would really love to join you on this challenge if you have room for another. I would like to lose 15 more pounds before the new year. I have got to do something--the temptations have already began! Let me know what I need to do in order to join you. My current weight as of this morning was 184.0. I would like to be down by 15 pounds, making my goal weight 169.0.

Always optimistic,:great:
