I did a little experiment last night. After drinking 48 oz of water and 24 oz of tea I hopped on the scale. Was interested to see how much all that liquid weighed in me. Of course your always a little lighter in the morning (I'm usually 2 over my morning weight). Well with all that water and tea I was 7 pounds more than normal. By morning and many many trips to BR through the night I was back to normal. I really need to get more water and tea in during the day and not wait until evening. No wonder I have to go a lot at night. I've got all that extra liquid sloshing around in me.

Jessica, I love the green tea with mint. I'm not a big peppermint or mint fan usually but I do like this stuff. It's replaced all my soda drinking.

bummer - I actually leaked last night. maybe too much liquid? I had just been to the bathroom, and climbed into bed when the dog wanted in. stood up, and got a little dribble.
May have to cut back a little bit, huh?

I've been drinking lc hot chocolate and it's great but I'm drinking too much of it and the carbs are adding up. I'll replace all but one cup of hot cocoa with green tea.

Angel, glad to see you here at the Green Tea Challenge boards too!!!! Welcome aboard!!!

MK, I know what ya mean!!!! Those dang babies we gave birth to did the deed. I haven't had an "oops" for quite a long time tho. I think maybe the aductor machine (the stirrup thingy with the scissor action of the legs) might be helping to tone things up.

Noel, I NEVER weigh myself in the evening...............ewwwwww.

Angel,
I haven't tried lc hot chocolate (sounds yummy)-- it's really not cold enough here in Phoenix to need hot beverages-- but I do know that I love love love hot tea with a little heavy cream & splenda! It's really thick & good that way! I think it's better than coffee!

Re: Mint green tea. I love it but the different brands are so different. I am sitting here with a cup of Lipton Green Tea with mint and is not very minty. I prolly wont buy that one again. But, I just bought some Bigelow and it is very minty and good. My favorite is Morrocan Mint. Stash has a great one and so does the Republic of Tea.

I did see some other Lipton Green Tea flavors--one was orange spice and one was lemon. Going to try them both. I've already tried the Berry, which I like. It's neat to see that so many tea companies are getting on the green tea bandwagon!

I just had a thought today...........I have THREE plastice shoebox type storage boxes of teas in my pantry. I haven't even considered using ANY of those to flavor my green tea with, but I'm gonna start. I wonder how Raspberry would taste. I even have Raspberry s/f syrup, ooooooooooh.............I'm gonna run and make another cup of tea right now!!!! I like it cold too. That sounds like one that would be good cold. I'll let y'all know how it tastes!!!!!!!!!!

I've been drinking my tea!

So far, I like the CS honey-lemon gensing the best. It's so nice, I don't even need any sweetener or cream. A great way to get me away from having too much cream.

Ok, four cups a day it is! I think I can do that. I've already had 3 today.

Question: I'm ONLY doing decaf -- no caffeinated. Do you think I need to change that?

Noel, You are a BRAVE woman! I could NEVER step on the scale at night.
You definitely should spread your water throughout the day. Doctors say that it actually interferes with sleep cycles if you drink a lot of liquid right before bed. And it's a proven fact that drinking water RIGHT before bed can cause nightmares/bizarre dreams. At least, that's what my husband says...

I just tried a couple of others. Here's my own personal breakdown so far...

HANDS DOWN FAV

CS honey-lemon-gensing

GOOD and would purchase again

CS DeCaf mandarin orchard (great for evening)

GOOD BUT A LITTLE FRUITY/SWEET FOR ME (good for TOM time)

CS raspberry
Lipton Orange Passionfruit (a little fruity/sweet but good for TOM)

NO THANKS!

Anything that's straight green tea, YUCK! Never have liked it. I even tried it in ice cream form one trip to Hong Kong but the cream didn't help!

GOOD goin GUYS!!!!! Summer, I think decaf is just as effective as regular.

Well, I don't have any CS Raspberry like I thought, but I DO have Peach Passion (or something like that), so I made a cup of that and threw in a splash of my s/f peach syrup. I tossed in a splash of half and half too. OOOOOPS it curdled a bit, I guess the peach syrup must have REAL juice extracts in it. It still tastes GOOD, but next time I won't put any cream in it. I'm still gonna drink it.

Marcie, will that honey cause you a problem? Carb-wise?

I have some Bengal Spice too, that's gonna be my next tea adventure!!!!!

I cut my water drinking off around 9pm and go to bed somewhere between 11-12 (most nights) so that gives me a good few hours to get all the fluids out of me. I then just SIP my evening decaf right up until I go to bed.

I'm hittin right at 4 mugs aday...and I do the decaf, Summer...I think its ok
I will tell you all, I bought a box of *Good Earth* GT blend at the Hfs...and AACCKK!!!
I should have looked closer...and the word BLEND should have clued me in
It has lemongrass in it, and that flavor just isn't my cup of tea...pun intended!

Right now, CS plain green decaf gets my vote; but the Yogi green decaf is right there with it I'm just putting a drop or 2 of liq splenda and a sprinkle of steviaplus in mine...sometimes I squeeze a smidge of lemon juice.

Isn't it interesting how everyone has their fav???? Gotta love it!

I haven't managed one single cup of tea today yet, darn it.

I did take my GT supplements so that counts for something, I'm gonna get at least ONE cup in while I'm watching LOST (YAY! :jump: brand new episode tonight)

got a huge mug of green tea to sip on all afternoon and will fix another one this evening.

Barb, I hope you like the Bengal Spice. I tried it and hated it, I prefer orange spice. Not too adventurous with my teas

I drank a big enough mug of tea that it was hard to eat all my veggies at dinner..but I managed...
