Alida, I agree with Tina, I would use 2 bags, which you can count that as 2 cups of tea for the day!!! I am using my HUGE "BIG 4-0" cup this morning that my DD gave me back when I turned 40 and put 2 bags in it. So I am starting my day out with a bang!!!!

Tina, WHAT A FIND!!!! I wish my TJ Maxx would carry that many bottles. I'm lucky if I find ONE!!!

YIKES, I'm out of all my fave flavors........Vanilla, Irish Cream, Egg Nog, so a trip to the store is in order today. I'm going to pick up 2 bottles of vanilla today, it's my absolute fave, plus I use it in other stuff.

Maxi, that is AWESOME!!!!!!! I wish I could say I've reached my 10 lb goal, but no dice. I ate popcorn last night while watching LOTR and am up 2lbs this morning. Gonna put in extra time on exercise today and see if I can work it off.

I use diet rootbeer and cream in a pinch. It tastes as good as if it were made with icecream.

The cinnamon syrup sounds divine!!!!!

Thanks, Tina and Barb. Sipping regular plain old GT with DV Raspberry right now (after my two cups of coffee this AM. Not bad! Next cup today I'll use two bags, however I will have to remove the bags after a few minutes. I have a habit of just keeping the bag in the cup while I'm drinking it. Sure makes for strong tea!

Welcome BACK Sharron!!!!!

Alida, I time my tea for 4 mins and it turns out perfect everytime. I also let the kettle simmer down a bit before pouring the water too. The only time I leave bags in is when I'm making CS fruity teas......or chamomile.

I am so happy to hear about the Earl Grey Green Tea. That has been one of my faves for years. I think they also just came out with "constant Comment Green" which is another fave. So on payday, I'll be gleefully skipping down the tea aisle and loadin' up my cart!

yikes!!!

i just tried to donate blood & my iron was low!

the woman testing it said that tea robs your body of iron. i had never heard this before, but though i'd pass this info along to my fellow tea drinkers. i take a multi-vitamin that does not have iron, since that's what atkins recommends, and i assumed i was getting plenty of iron through my diet (red meat & green veggies)-- apparently i'm not!

I would love to join you all here if its ok with you. I do love green tea and do drink it once in awhile anyway.

Ive upped my green tea to 5 cups a day, and with in 3 days im finally back at my sig weight. I read in an article somewhere that 5 cups is better and that try not to do the decaf, because it doesnt have the same effect as the regular, so i did and to my surprise im losing again. hope this is consistent at least for a few weeks anyway, lol. would love to get to under 200 by March or April maybe. Ive only done 2 things different to help with the loss and thats up my green tea and added coconut oil to my diet. Not really used a lot of the coconut oil yet tho.

WELCOME SUNNY Mary!!!! SURE you can join the tea fun!!!! Hop on board!!!! Basically all we're doing is drinking green tea, 4 cups if possible, to see if we can jog our weight loss lose if we've stalled, or maybe squeeze a couple more pounds out of us on a regular basis. This broke an eight month long stall for me, so I'm confidant that it's helping me. Be sure and check out all the stuff here on the homepage. The links up at the top will lead you all over the place. And make sure you check out the stickies on the beginning pages of each forum. No one really posts to them. If you have a really burning question, start your own thread and you will get a zillion ideas!!! Make yourself at home!!

Jess, that's really interesting. I wonder if black tea does more iron robbing than green. I'll have to look into that. I've actually felt more energized since doing the tea, don't know if it's from the caffeine or what.

Celest, I did 4 cups of caffeinated today, so we'll see if there's a difference on the scale. I usually do 3 and then a decaf at night.

Renee, glad you found a flavor you LOVE!!!!

Welcome, Sunny! Make yourself at home!

Barb, those 2 pound I lost found me again this morning, so don't feel like the Lone Gainer! LOL! I didn't get all my water in, I think my sodium intake was a little high, and I didn't get enough sleep. BUT, I didn't let it get me in a bad mood. I just said "Fine, for whatever reason I regained, but surely it's water weight, since my menu was good and I did exercise...."

I'm sitting her enjoying a double cup: 1 bag Earl Grey Green and 1 bag Kroger brand plain green. Yummy! I'm taking a multivitamin with iron, so I hope that's enough!

Maxi:
I try not to fret about a 1 or 2 pound gain here or there as long as I'm eating on plan. I figure it's just a temporary water-weight gain that will eventually drain right back out.

Now, I do start to fret if I stop losing for a week or two at a time. I figure it's either because I've eaten something my body doesn't like, too much of a good thing, or something that has hidden carbs, sugar, etc...even though it didn't knock me out of ketosis.

I think we'd be do good to learn how to read our bodies and our losses. Noel noticed that she lost better on more carbs than less. This happend to me in the beginning as well. Lately, my carb count has been inconsistent...and some days I know it's just too low...so is the fiber. I really need to start finding ways to level out my carb consumption and increase my fiber. The sliced almonds help, so long as I don't let them push too high on the calories.
