| YES! If I start using ANY artificial sweetener TOO regularly, it increases my cravings. :( That's why, with this GT challenge, I have bitten the bullet and am downing ALL of my cups without any sweetener; just plain. It's an adjustment, but it's growing on me.

| Everybody's different - I'm finding that the SF syrups that I'm adding to my green tea have dramatically decreased my need for anything sweet, and my cravings are going away. Go figure~!

| I walked out this morning without my green tea to-go! Yikes! I meant to stop in somewhere and buy some and never did. I meant to make some at work, never did. Sooooo, I drank a 32 oz. glass of iced with dinner. That should catch me up. I've been really good about this challenge since I re-started on Dec. 28. Just brewed a fresh pitcher tonight: 7 bags plain, 1 Earl Grey Green. I have to be sure I get all my tea in over the next few days......TOM is definitely on the way.:(

| i have found some of the GT that i get actually is TOO sweet tasting on its own withOUT any sweetner... so i try to cut em with another kind of plain GT.. TODAY i made the mistake of using TWO bags in my BIG cup... but forgot and only put 8oz of water in it.. PATOOOOOOOOOOOEY.. nasty.. but i just put more water in and did fine.. on another note: have any of you been SQUEEZING out your tea bags ? i used to always just dunk the bag till the tea was as strong as i wanted and leave the bag in.. one kind i bought specifically said to SQUEEEEEEEEZE out the bag to get the BENEFICIAL stuff... YIKES... was i suppose to be doing that all along? |

| The directions I read were "Gently squeeze the bag...." Don't squeeze too hard, ladies! LOL!

| I ALWAYS squeeze mine, I figure that can only help. Besides, it will drip on its way to the garbage can. I have sometimes squeezed so hard I've ripped the string off. I HAD a squeezer thingy, but I think I threw it out. DH never used it and it was taking up space in my drawer, so out it went...........that was a few years ago. I wonder if the kitchen gadget stores sell them. I think I got mine at a tupperware party.

| 3C green tea...all bags squeezed with a finger against a spoon. And once I did squeeze too hard and ripped open the package. If you do this, I don't recommend trying to drink the last sip or two. I did...and I nearly gagged because it was so bitter.

| I squeeze all the tea out of the bag because I'm so cheep I don't want to give up a drop. I'm so cheep when I pinch a penny I give Lincoln a headache. |

| Summer, I think you and I are on the same page, Splenda-wise. I cut back on the sweetener, with good results in the craving department. Tina, I tried some DaVinci's but found I wanted to add more Splenda! I can drink my coffee without sweetener . . . why not tea????? As for the squeezing technique, yeah, I have to learn to squeeze. Usually I am just too lazy and leave the bag in the cup!

| LOL Ed, I think I heard a "bud-ump-ump" afterward. ![]() Ya know what's even worse than the grounds in the last sip???? Loose lime/scale deposits............EWWWWWWW. I'm constantly rinsing my tea kettle out, de-liming it. I can't wait until our new water from the city kicks in here. It's supposed to be softer.

| I know, Tina, I start the kettle up when I'm down to 3-4 sips left. I am leaving for the weekend and am wildly wondering how I'm going to get my tea fixed up the way I like it. I can't bring all my "stuff" with me. I'll prolly make a bunch ahead of time and fill my empty water bottles up. OH what to do, what to do!!!!!
