What is it about the Green Tea? Why do you drink so much in a day?

Because Barb told us to! LOL! Seriously, Green Tea has many benefits, two of which are thermogenic (helping weight loss) and cancer-fighting. It has been proven to kill certain types of cancer cells. Also has a lot of antioxidants. Plus, it tastes good!

Thanks for the info on Stash. I was wondering what it was! And I just finished my 3rd 16-oz cup. Use two bags per cup. That's a whole lotta tea bags. And Sharon, I have switched to mostly Stevia with one drop of Splenda. I do think that has helped me in the cravings department. I am drinking more today because I plan on finishing up Char's (or was it Betty's?) Pulled Pork BBQ tonight. That stuff seems to add a half pound to me every time I eat it! That recipe is to die for!

And as Alida said before, there are MANY great health benefits with green tea besides the weight loss benefits. It is chock full of antioxidants, which will help the body to prevent cancer. It has also been touted by Dr. Nicholas Perricone (The Perricone Promise) on Oprah to help slow down or even reverse the effects of aging.
So, hop on board, we're always glad to have another Tea drinker along for the ride!!!!!

It's so good to be home!
Got in my four cups before noon...but I made a mistake. It wasn't decaf. I paid for it by feeling shaky, grouchy and sick to my stomach all day. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this stuff. I saw the green package and my brain thought "decaf". I really need to be more careful.

Oh Melissa - that's just awful. I have done that same thing myself. I bet you won't make that mistake again!![]()
I've been sticking with the green tea thing pretty well. For me its been easier to drink it in the huge mugs. I forget during the course of the day, so have to make up for it in the evenings, just goes down quicker, plus I'm not constantly running to the kitchen to get more.
Angie
at least for now...
Today I had a raspberry quince tea. It was really good. But I don't think it was decaf either. Ugh. That may be why I'm still up now. I noticed that when the boss bought green tea for the office he got regular. Oh well, there's still plenty of decaf and I just bought a 60 bag package. It was the thought that counts.

Worry doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrows, it empties today of its strengths.
i love the CS green tea/mint combination
i usually use CS green tea decaf + 1 mint in a pitcher that holds 5 cups and add my steviaplus to it.
alida, i'm glad it is working for you too.
i notice i'm a lot stiffer and sorer when i miss it. i'm adding peppermint also for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Sharron:
Where did you find the info about peppermint? I'm all about things that help me from taking meds (especially since they keep pulling them from the market), and make me feel better.
Tina
we had an "herb talk" thread in the caveman forum. the info is in there. holler if you need me to help you find it. right now, i'm on my way out the door for the day. i'll bet Barb could help you find it as well....
Tina, here's a link to our Herb Talk Thread. It kinda went by the wayside, so I'll bump it for you and give you a link here. Herb Talk Thread If anyone wants to discuss herbal remedies feel free to add to the discussion there. I'm sure Sharron wouldn't mind getting that thread started again. I sure as heck wouldn't mind!!!
I either got in 4 or 5 cups yesterday, I don't know, I lost count.
BTW, peppermint helps aid in digestion.
