I'll need to check out the local Asian market and see if they carry decaf.

The cheapest green tea I found so far was a grocery store brand (Stater Bros which is only in So Cal at the moment) and it was $2.99 for 48 bags. Unfortunately, it was NOT decaf. I've visited two health food stores and two grocery stores and the cheapest I've found was a 20-pack of decaf Lipton green on sale for $2.69. That is still five times the price of your 100-pack deal, Barb.

I'm sipping my first cup and plan to have several more before the day is over. I really love this stuff!

I have to shovel today to be able to get out to the Asian market, I'm running dangerously low on tea. That is motivation enough though to get the white stuff out of my way!!!!!

So far, every box of cs decaf green I've opened, has had a 55 cents off coupon inside Makes drinking the brew even sweeter
I've settled into a daily habit of 4 large mugs of GT and can still get 4 bottles of water in also on most days.
Happy sipping everyone

No Sunny. You don't have to drink decaf. But some of us (me) can't function on caffeine. I get heart palpitations which are sometimes compounded by a headache and upset stomach if I drink too much caffeine...or any on an empty stomach.

we got 14 to 18 inches of Snow here on long island. I have been shoveling for the past 2 days now. We went out this morning and it didnt look like I did anything yesterday....My wifes car and my car were buried up to the doors in snow....

As far as my nickname goes....Yeah I guess you can say I ama honda fanatic but right now I dont drive one. My last two cars were first place show winner civic's. Right now I have a chevy Prizm. I bought the car because it was inexpensive and I would be able to save for our wedding which was this past summer. I gotta say this car is better than my past two civic's....Its basically a toyota Corolla. My wife has a 2002 civic still though. 1999 GSR is sweet. I almost bought a 2001 GSR sedan with 21k miles b4 I got my last civic, but it had unsual gas and brake pedal wear so I didnt touch it...It seemed like it had a lot more milage on it than the owner claimed.

Thanks for the tea recommendations....I will have to go sometime this week.

I often make iced green tea with about 1/4 cup of splenda, do you still get the same health properties as you would drinking to warm?

I drink mine hot, or iced....I don't think the temperature change would negate any benefits.....at least I hope not!

I got some more Earl Grey Green and a Variety pack of Tazo teas last night. As I was putting them away, I was thinking of you all, and the tea freaks we have all become! Hey, there are a heck of alot worse things to be hooked on!

it kinda almost sounds ADDICTING ... but caffeine in my COFFEE is addicting.. so why would the TEA replace the coffee.. what is IN this stuff anyhow? seriously... i am FREAKIN cause i am almost out of a few favorite kinds...
why IS that? anyone know what causes the apparent addiction to something as simple as green tea? never happened with REGULAR tea.

Maybe it's a psychological addiction. I don't care.......it's good for ya, so I drink it and drink it and drink it.

Welcome Britneyfan!!!! I don't think the temp matters at all. Glad to have you with us!!!!

I didn't get all my tea in yesterday, just 16 ounces, so today I made up for it and had 48 ounces.

Been making may, many trips to el bano.

Why are the page numbers of this thread all spread out? Makes it hard to get to the last page. Is it just me? I've seen this on other threads. Makes me nuts! (okay, more nuts!)

Maxi, do you have "e-mail notifications" turned on in your "User CP" file? If you do, you get a notification and can click on the link that brings you directly to the last post, from your e-mail. It saves a lot of time searching for when you last posted. You also know when someone else has posted to that thread. It's a nice feature of the board. This thread has gotten a lot of use, so I'll be starting a new one for Feb. That will shorten it up in the beginning. But as more and more people post to it, the page number indications gets longer and longer.

HTH

I got in two "doubles" today. My Asian store was out of decaf so I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy some more expensive decaf for my evening cup.

I'm sipping on a plain cup of Rooibos right now, it's suppose to help ya sleep.
