| I'm still in on this GT challenge...been hittin' 'bout 3-4 mugs a day. Also, out of curiosity, bought some Lipton's GT, decaf...not to bad...personally I like Yogi and Celestial Seasonings better, but the Lipton's will do in a pinch...maybe I'll just take that box to work and leave it in my locker... Noel! Big congrats for those 50#!!!! You are gonna be at goal before you know it! Happy NY to all! Shelley

| Noel--I would stick with a few less pairs...no don't want to not have extras, but in another 50 lbs those own't fit either--I have replaced 3X in the last year and am almost needing to do it again...from a size 10 to a 6...I skipped size 9 when I changed the first time...DH does the laundry and thought my latest set was DD's the first time he saw them. I went to the low rise briefs to accomodate my low rise capris from this summer but he hadn't seen them because I was at my mom's when I bought them and he didn't know I tossed all my underwear out there. Made my day! He has also given her my tops several times lately! WOHOO on the new underwear! A necessary item, but a nice treat for yourself and they will be much more comfortable too! I am on my second cup this morning...weighed in only 2lbs up from signature so I can claim only a 2 lb gain though I know it was bigger than that on any given day this week. TOM is on its way...cramping, swollen sore breasts...the whole works including the swelling in the hands and feet so I am blaming that on the extra two pounds too!

| Happy New Year, everyone! I brewed up a fresh pitcher of green tea today. I opened the box of Kroger brand.....I'm gonna have a cup soon and see how it is. Right now, I'm just concentrating on getting my water in. (I only had about half a gallon yesterday, and I'm up a pound today.) I KNOW the green tea has helped me recover from my huge gain at Christmas. And I KNOW it will help me reach my goals this year.

| I'm so glad so many are sticking with this. I just bought Dr. Perricone's book, The Perricone Promise, OH What a FAB book!!!!!!!! He's VERY pro LC without actually stating it. I've only read 50 pages so far and just LOVE it!!!!! I highly recommend it!!!! I got my 4 cups in today, but still need to get some more water in. Noel, Get Thee Some NEW Undies!!!!! You soooooooo deserve it girl!!!!!! Lori, that's too funny!!!! DH and I now get our JEANS mixed up. I'm going to have to wash them ALL, lay them out and figure out whose is whose and then mark them. But on the other hand, he'll be inheriting MOST of my jeans pretty soon, since I will be graduating to a smaller size soon. I bought a pair of sage green corduroys at Sams' Club (did I already write about this here????) and they are size EIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! and they fit perfectly!!!! I've been buying my jeans in men's sizes, so DH won't have to feel weird about wearing "womens" jeans. LOLOL

| Dh has hung up and "stolen my jeans a time or two---but he couldn't wear them if he wanted too...way way too short...he is over 6 foot. We both have St. John's Bay jeans and he likes to hang up and steal mine! That is something DD and I don't share sizes of either--she wears a 10 S and they are CONSIDERABLY smaller than my 10s...but the tops are both 10-12's or 8-10's and marked size M...it is funny that they aren't that different in size or size number but one is adult andone is childs I am hoping this spring sometime to be into an 8...enjoy the new size and the shopping getting the new size induces! I drank 4 cups yesterday--going to really have to work to get in that many today however!

| I haven't checked in in awhile, but I have been drinking my green tea. I drink at least three, usually four cups a day. No new underwear for me yet. The ones I'm wearing will do for awhile. But I do need to do something about my pants. Over the summer, I bought three much-needed pairs of dress pants and a pair of jeans. They all fit perfectly. Now, I can slide them off without unzipping! I'll probably just take these in at the waist, even though they are kind of ballooning in the rear and the legs. I'd show off my weight loss much better if I bought pants that fit, but right now my pocketbook takes precidence over my vanity. Maybe I'll break down and buy new pants then next time they need to be taken in. Barb, size 8?!? You tiny little thing, you! Any smaller and we won't be able to see you if you turn sideways! LOL

| Next month I will toss the baggie ones and get some new ones. I know I should before then but if I do it once I hit the 320's I'll be happy. But not as many as I have now. Just enough to get me from laundry day to laundry day. That way I won't feel so bad getting rid of all of them at once when I have to drop another few sizes. I only got in 24 oz yesterday. I had forgotten to make some early so I drank them late and didn't want to drink to many for fear of being up all night. As it was I didnt have to get up once which was good. I think I'll go start some right now so I can have it after exercise.

| So far I'm good on the tea. I just wanted to say something here....and maybe this thread isn't the place for it: I sometimes buy clothes at thrift stores. I guess old habits are hard to break. As a child most of our clothes came from garage sales and thrift stores. I promised myself that I would never buy used clothing for my daughter, but I have a few times. The store I go to collects donations, sells them and splits the profits with a children's home. Now, the profit sharing MAY be 98%/2%, but at least the law requires them to give at least 2! Anyway, I wanted a "new" pair of black pants for Christmas. I tried Foley's, Target, and couple of other stores......no luck. Why do manufactureres think if you weigh over 200 pounds, you must be 5 feet tall? I'm 5"9', so I look for the Tall tags. So, I decided to check out the thrift store close to my work. I gave myself 20 minutes to scope out the pants rack. I was in and out in 25 minutes, having spent $12.84 on 3 items: a pair of Levi's Bendover pants size 20 Tall. They were a little large, but a nice length and very plain....just what I wanted. And for $3.98. I took a quick look through the jeans (you have to be selective) and found a pair of Carolina Blues size 18 Long that looked like they had never been worn. They showed absolutely NO wear, and the tag inside was still stiff. They were $4.98. And I found a pair of long length shorts in black stretch denim by Venezia. These were size 16 and looked new, also. They were $2.98 and ended up being tight on me right now.....I'm sure they will be perfect this summer. Total bill:$12.84. Now that's no guilt shopping. Even if I never wear the black pants again, so what? They cost me 4 bucks. One time, I bought 2 long-sleeve denim shirts to wear to work as over shirts....one was $2 and one was $4. The one I had at home was very worn, so it went to the garage sale pile. If I tear one, or stain it beyond cleaning, it's no big loss. I love buying clothes from the nicer stores, like on Foley's famous Red Apple sale. But when money's tight sometimes, and I want to shop, I can spend $20 at the thrift store and get me and DD a few things. I get my shopping "fix" without blowing the budget. I said all that to say this: when you find yourself between sizes, in the "during" phase of your weight loss, why not try a thrift store? You'd be amazed at all the different people who shop there. I've seen painters in there buying up all the t-shirts they could. (They throw them away after they get alot of paint on them.) I've seen hoity toity rich-looking women in there asking each other if this looks good on them....I've seen people just like me there.....buying jeans and work shirts for a fraction of the original cost, because they are not provided work uniforms by their company. I don't buy everything from there. I would never consider buying bras or panties there. It's also a GREAT place to find Halloween costume items. My best friend and I went to my sister's Halloween party one year dressed as the Blues Brothers. I was Jake....she was Elwood. I bought us black suitcoats there for around $6 each. And ties. We both had black pants and shoes, and white shirts. She got us hats from a costume store and we were set. For about $30.00 total, we were the hit of the party. I'll try to scan the pic and download it. I can see I got carried away here! Try thrift stores. "Nuff said!

I need to get 2 more cups in..............I better get going!!!!!

![]() Yeah, we're all on a mission from God. But , I've gotta say, thrift stores are the way to go as one pursues this journey. Posted by a former victim of Dominican type penguins.
