Here's the info on the MGD beer. The info is for one ounce. Doesn't beer come in 12 ounce bottles? Even if it was 16 ounces, it's not too bad of a cheat as it's just 1.1 carbs per ounce.

I did really good for 18 days then things in my life went into turmoil, so, I have re-started my challenge yesterday, and am on my way to another 100 day challenge. So, what I did was start munching on things that were left over from the holidays, and I finally got them thrown out over the weekend
and did massive cooking on sunday - DH who usually cooks, is off fishing with buddies for a couple of weeks, so I have to cook....
Made chicken curry with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery and onions, will add some sour cream when I re-heat, also made pork roast, stewed cabbage with tomatoes, turkey/gr beef taco meat (for lunch taco salads), turkey/gr beef meat balls, pork and sauerkrauk stew, guacalome for taco salads, salad...
it was non stop cooking. last night I made yogurt, cause I need to get some calcium in.... and i was missing my yogurt.
need to get in more water....
should be back at the gym on thursday....
thats my confession....
feeling ok about the fall, and even better getting back up on track

I am stopping this challenge...something about the head games I am playing with myself is making this challenge very hard to keep up with...I am making more mistakes than having good days...Going to go back to the original plan...not worrying about cheat free and only worrying about good choices and making them consistently. I will check in now and then, but can't seem to keep it together...so going to stop here. Keep up the good work all!

I am on day three of my re-start and feeling great about this...
and looking forward to completing my challenge.

day 45.
feeling great! not sure how much weight i've lost because i don't own a scale. however, i can no longer wear the size 26 pants that were tight when i started because they slide off of me. 24's are loose & i've gotten into 22's, but they're still just a tad tight. i am shrinking!!!

Thanks Carolyn, it just works better for me to NOT think about it daily, to just eat like I know I should and ont stress over "not cheating" like Iwas doing on the challenge and I may not have had my head quite where IT needed to be yet to get back to serious, but at any rate...just giving up the challenge has done that for me...so back to work!

Congrats Jess - that is AWESOME. I put on a pair of jeans yesterday that the last time I wore were a bit snug... and all day I was playing with the material because they were baggy -- even in my stomach area -- which is where I really need to lose. It was alot of fun to delight in my clothes being a bit to big!

I'm now at 34 days cheat free.

lori, it's great that you know what you can & can't do & that you have figured out what works best for you. there is no sense in playing mind games with yourself & beating yourself up over not meeting a challenge. if you do that, you might fail altogether. so i applaud you for having the courage to know your limitations and stopping this particular challenge. if i'd been able to do that two years ago, i wouldn't be the weight i am now-- i would have been able to stay on a lc plan & i wouldn't have gone back to an unhealthy way of eating after one big cheat. but, hindsight is always 20/20 and i'm back with a vengance now!

and thanks, rhalvahn! congrats to you, too! it's definitely exciting to have that extra space in the waist of previously tight pants.
and i think it does get easier with every passing day-- i'm no longer really counting the days until i come in here to update-- it's really become a way of life for me, and THAT is the best thing of all!

You are so right jess, I was so worried all month about not losing. I am not cheat free but I am still counting my days and out of 40 days from when I first started this challeneg I cheated 6 which means I was very good 34 days. I'm keeping track just so I can see that the rest of the time is all smiley faces.

My recent discovery was that even with only two pounds lost in January my previously too small pants are now baggy in the butt! Yippee!

I also have stopped this challenge but do read up on everyone that is doing well. Great job!

noel, you're doing great to have 34 days, even if they're not consistent & most importantly to not give up and go back to the old way of eating. just because you fall off the horse it does not mean you shouldn't climb right back up. that was my problem in the past, and i'm not going to make that mistake again. so far i haven't felt the need to cheat yet, but i know that some day i probably will, and i need to be prepared to get right back in the game when i do. so i can sit here & say i'm doing so great to have 40+ days cheat-free, but based on my past patterns, the real test for me will come when i DO cheat.

and today is day 46 with no problems. almost halfway there.

Yeah I did well last year when I wasn't counting. I think I was just putting too much pressure on myself in January. I'll eventually get to 100 days cheat free even if it take 110 days to do it...and they wont be consectutive.

day 47, still no cheats! went to eat at a mexican restaurant with hubby tonight & it was a little hard to sit there & watch him eat all the chips & salsa-- i was HUNGRY waiting for my food to arrive. i made it, though & my fajitas (w/o flour tortillas!) were delicious!

I'm at the 1/3 mark. I made it through 33 days without cheating. That's official days since I joined the challenge. I've not had a cheat since Dec. 25, but I'm not counting that as part of my total. Lot of good it's done. I'm not losing any weight...in fact I've done a pretty darn good job of gaining pre-TOM weight the past few days.
