| If you like green tea and drink it, this is the place for you. 3 cups per day seems to be the magic number. But you can drink more than that. But don't forget your water too!!!! Welcome ALL!!!!!

| Hi Barb... Count me in. Been trying to drink the stuff. I do much better on the weekends when I can actually have the leaf kind, not the baggy stuff here at the office. Three cups per day... I can do it! |

| Still here & still drinking plenty of green tea. I've been mixing it up more lately however, having looked at some research which indicates that the anti-oxidants available in green and black tea are about the same. I still drink both without anything in them and enjoy them that way.

| Drinking my three to four cups of green has become an easy habit. (I wish exercise came as easy!) Maggie, I saw a Lipton (Orange Pekoe) box that touted it's antioxidant effects and started to wonder how different the effects were from green. I'll have to cruise the Internet and do a little research myself. I really like the green tea hot, but my absolute favorite is English Breakfast tea with sweetener and a bit of cream. I've not found decaf E.B. so I have to limit how much I drink. At work, I usually gulp down at least two green. At home, I like to drink a 50-50 mix of green and instant tea over ice. I wonder if instant tea also has the same antioxidant benefits? I hope so as I've been an instant tea drinker since I was a kid. Can't get my teenager to touch the stuff though.

| Hey, I found ya'll! Again, Melissa and I are on the same page: wishing exercise came to be a habit as easily as drinking green tea! For my birthday, instead of cake, my bosses gave me a nice wicker basket with some Gladware-type plastic bowls (I am always bringing some kind of lowcarb creation in for testing!), a gallon of Arizona Diet Green Tea w/Ginseng and a collectible tin of the same thing, only powdered, in a tub....like Crystal Light! COOL! They are so nice to me! They replaced my TV that was stolen, now this....how am I ever going to bring myself to ask for that raise I've been wanting? I've got to support my green tea habit somehow! I made myself a fresh pitcher of iced this morning. Six bags of plain green and 2 bags of Stash Chai Green. Yummers!

| Yesterday, for the first time since this thread started, I did NOT have my green tea! I went shopping and bought a size SMALL sweater jacket. Have developed a bad habit with my afternoon tea . . . having it with an Atkins Advantage bar. So I am starting to equate one with the other and have to stop! Although I must say it does not seem to stall me too much now. Down a half pound this AM (perhaps because I did NOT have that bar yesterday? Who knows?) I am thinking because I did not really increase my carbs "according to Atkins," that the extra carbs I am getting with the bars may actually be helping me. Now if I can just stop the bars and increase my carbs with good stuff . . . . .

| Alida, you are doing great! You wil lbe at goal in no time! I am on my first blueberry mug of green tea...will have lemon and ginseng this afternoon--I like teh blueberry best with breakfast...strawberry seems best at night...but I eat strawberries and whipped cream most often in the evenings too so it may be by flavor association!

| Just checkin' in here..........been REALLY busy!!!! Celest, rooibos is wonderful. It's from Africa and is supposed to be relaxing at bedtime (or a couple hours before) and is touted as safe for babies and will help them sleep at night. It's really yummy with vanilla. Glad to see everyone checkin' in here. My new biggest kick is Celestial Seasonings' Blueberry green with Bigelow's Lemon green. I combine a bag of each for a tastey, refreshing combo. I also add a drop of two of lemon extract and blueberry s/f syrup..............decadent. So I've been getting AT LEAST 3 cups in per day. I still make it ahead of time and bottle it for work and drink it cold.
