Hey Nadi! I loved it - in the sticks...............yep, me too!

I love the idea of being able to come on a daily basis and just post - whether it is our menu, weight loss or lack of it, holding each other accountable or just talk about things in our life (hubby, kids, TV). So here goes for me:

Today: 138 lbs. Goal - 120 (or less) Currently size 12 - too tight - hope for a lose 12 or 10
WOE: Atkins (low cal)
Exercise - Bowflex as well going to hit the gym at lunch time
Job - Admin. Assistant
Age 53 (but young at heart) - Height 5:3" - In menopause
Kids grown - one still in University
Remarried last year - extremely happy except for the weight
Fishing and RV'ing is what I live for and the season opens on the long weekend in May
Would really like to get into my shorts & jeans by June 11 - have a friend's wedding to go to.

So tell me more about yourself Nadi. Which province? Your goals? Married? WOE?

We could call it something other than the Canadian Challenge and therefore we would get more participants - any ideas on the name - weekly thread? Monthly? I am PM'ing another person on the board - perhaps she would like to join us.

So Nadi, we had the freak storm yesterday. Roads sucked. I live out on an acreage where the roads are pot holes. What was your weather like?

me in a nutshell...

I am sitting at 160 lbs which puts me in a size 12 - I am 5'7 so I only have a few pounds to lose I picked a goal weight of 140, but might stop sooner.

3 years ago I weighed 230lbs but dropped to 175 on Weight Watchers and stuck there for a year so wanted to try something different, I chose Atkins and I will not look back!.
I haven't really settled on a regimeted excercise program, I usually walk but I am adding in cycling now that the snow is almost all gone.
I earn my daily bread doing historical Land Title Research
I am 28 - I have 2 kids - 4yr DS and 7yr DD
I also married last year, but to my long time BF and father of my children (DD was a surprise right before college so we didn't have he money to do our wedding our way until last year - 11 yrs together, 8mo married)
I love camping, I do the long hike and tent thing (but plan to buy an RV after the kids are in college) Living in the sticks gives me the advantage of going hiking in my own back yard, which I love, except when the quads are out!
I don't have a time goal I am working toward or a size and as I said 140lbs is not a hard fast rule, I just want to not have a roll all around my midsection, if it wasn't for stretch marks I might haved worked toward wearing a belly shirt since I am still young enough to get away with it (I think).

I am in Quebec nestled right up against the Ontario border. The weather is nice and sunny and the weather man keeps teasing us with the promise of temperatures in the high teens, but they never get there!

We could just post a daily update in the "everything else" area or shoot for a challenge of 100 hours in the sun, to encourage us to get outside in the fresh air more often?
