Default 4th of July Challenge

It's been a while since I hosted a challenge...I think the last was the New Years challenge. So after discusion with others on the board I have decided to host the 4th of July Challenge. Now I know this is quite an international board with people from all over this great world so I am not calling it the Independence Day challenge but those of us here in the states know that the 4th is a big bbq-ing holiday and most people will have a big celebration. So why not celebrate a few more pounds lost as well? (psst...be sure and celebrate by having that bbq without the high sugar sauce)

I will be checking stats Sundays and posting Mondays. It's 5 weeks so I think it will be a nice short challenge. Hopefully easy to stay the course throughout.

I'll check with another member about making a logo for us and will post more about that later.

So, my stats for the challenge are...

CushieButterfield 325/325/313 ~ 12 pounds to lose

Noel--I will join you...Looking for the few I have regained plus 2 more for a 155 total by the 4th of July. So my stats look like this...I am going to keep my starting weight with my signature weight...and only add in the "gained" weight in the changing part of my stat line!

157/163/155--I actually have about 8 to go...but am losing 8 to try to lose 2!

Today IS the day! As many know I have been struggling to get back on track for two and a half months after a fabulous first seven months. I have done well for five full days now and I think this challenge will help me stay the course for the next five weeks.

I will post a list of challengers later thisweek. but all are welcome so come join us and challenge youself, whether it be 2 pounds or 10 pounds, it's all good.

Thanks so much for hosting this challenge! I am in. My stats are:

Dani 241/241/231

I think 10 lbs should be doable in 5 weeks. If I can just stay away from the salt-hot dogs are just totally doing me in lately!

Hey, Noel! You KNOW I'm in here, girl! I don't do so well....uh, I haven't done well SO FAR with challenges, but maybe this one will be different! I'm starting out this one with TOM on the way, though. Maybe it will be good just to get that over with right away.

I weighed in at 228 this morning. If I was to manage to actually lose a pound a week (I am a turtle, ya know) except for TOM week, then I could lose 4 pounds. Oh, heck! I'll go out on a limb and say 5. Five pounds by July 4th. Hmmmm. I'm gonna TRY!

My stats for the 4th of July Challenge: 228/228/223 (loss goal: 5 lbs.)

May I join your challenge please Noel? I'm happy to celebrate your 4th July with you!

I've reached my target weight - but I feel I've been too lenient on myself at 154 - BMI calculators are still telling me I'm overweight! so I would like to drop about 5 lbs by then. Thanks for hosting the Challenge.

Me too! Me too! So I was doing well then this past weekend hit. A couple of functions to go to and of course I drank and of course I gained weight again! Even the LC beer does me in. I think I'll shoot for 10 pounds for this challenge so my starting stats will be 185/185/175.

Hooray for the challenge!

I will start the challenger list tonight so come on and join in! And to the late comers, join in anytime, it's easy to add a name to the list.

I've started out on the right foot and have been eating right on plan, trying really hard to keep it up.
