Thanks Rob. I did not walk to the store last night. When my boss's wife took me home (she picks up her daughter that is babysitting for me this week). I was talking to her about the floaty and she said she had one that is almost exactly like the link you posted, Rob. Great minds think alike. It's just what I want and she said I could have it. She had kept it for both kids and then stuck it in storage.

I did inadvertantly start some (what turned out to be) strenous arm exercise and then realized when I was doing it what I was actually doing. I have a big exercise ball that the baby loves. I was holding it over my head and bring it to over his head and coming down until I was right above his nose and then going back up. First with straight arms and then bent. I stopped when I got sick of it but he wasn't yet and then it hit me that I was actually doing one of the exercises this ball was meant for so I kept doing it until I could no more.

Noel - I love when things work out just right! Good going with the ball exercises!

Walked 4 miles yesterday but it was split between 3 walks. 2 miles at tanglewood and 2 down and up IHBK hill. My pedometer registed over 7 miles total yesterday and I've already registered 2 today. Since my house sitting ends this afternoon I'll probably get in another mile cleaning before i leave,

House sitting job is over so I should be able to get back to my usual mileage. But between taking care of a 3 story house 2 dogs and 5 cats I was averaging over 7 miles a day on my pedometer. even on days where my official walking was 2 miles. which was what it was yesterday.

Let me brag - well brag is the wrong word. Yesterday I forgot to eat lunch. That's not a first for me but it is the first time this millenium. I'm just amazed at that.

ROB!!! HOW could you show Noel something from one of my competitors???!!! LOLOLOL Here's a link to our website, where I work: In The Swim Baby Spring Float We sell those too. I don't have a catalog in front of me, so I don't know if we have any other kiddie items like that. Although, we do have floaty bathing suits too. Xander might fit into the small sized ones. Here's a link to that page on the website: Swimcoach Swim Suits Noel: if you scroll down there are other swim aids on that page or links to the rest of what's available.

LOLOL at your nighttime pedometer reading............too funny!!!!

As usual, I have been busy as heck. We've had a zillion things going on on the weekends and I'm never able to catch up at home. This full-time working sure puts a hurtin' on everything else in life. But I'm loving my commission checks!!! I almost made 2 g's for the month of June!!!! WOOHOO!! And that's on top of my regular salary. It feels good to have that extra money in the budget and the medical benefits!!!!

I managed to get my behind into C's on TH, F, and Sat this week. The T,TH, S, thing isn't materializing. Last night we parked the car about 6 blocks away from our little town's Fireworks and Town Fest deal and walked there and back. It's a slightly hilly walk and I wasn't winded at all. It felt good to do the walking. I like summer nighttime walking. I wish we did it more often. I suppose if I asked Rick to go walking with me at night he would, but I just don't have the energy after a long day's work.

I'm STILL checking out the selections of bike baskets. I still want to rig up my bike so I can ride to the store with it. I will eventually get there.

Barb - LOL, I didn't realize your company sold this kind of item. and I didn't know the name of the company, otherwise I would have recommended you. But luckily Noel got a freebie. Good going on getting to Curves 3 times!

I walked 5 miles at Tanglewood Park yesterday. Was far too hot because I got a late start and was walking until 1:00.

Hi gang, I'm still here! I've been averaging about 2 miles a day still walking - had to put the elliptical up against the wall because DSS (dear stepson) (maybe DAMN) was supposed to be home for a week, so DH took out the blow-up bed and set it up where my elliptical normally resides. Well, DSS ended up staying elsewhere so I blew the whole week last week for no good reason! GRRRRRR. Oh well. I flattened out the airbed last evening and put the elliptical back in place so I plan on getting on that little sucker this evening!

Sounds like you had quite the workout with those critters, Rob! And Noel - HOW many pounds of groceries?! Gee, and I thought *I* did a job in the grocery stores! LOL!

Barb, have you done any hula-hooping at all? Mine is still propped up on the porch right where I left it LAST summer!

Maggie, you and I are obviously not frequenting the same forums here at the moment - are you OK???

I'm fine, Char. Circumstances just require me to take a sort of semi-sabatical for a bit.

I'm still lurking about.

Char, I swear it weighed 300 pounds if it weighed an ounce! OK maybe 200., who knows.

Barb, I think I may get one of those swim suits with the floaties. He's just slighty too small right now so I'll wait but I might just order it this season so that we can go to the indoor pools this winter. He'll be starting swim class next year...maybe.

I almost made the long walk today, a lady from work picked me up with a few blocks to go. So I missed the long hill but I got there close to on time so that's good. I need to leave earlier. Even when I get a car I will be walking from the daycare. This was the thing I needed, so a blessing in disguise. Plus I think the guy that wrecked the car was inadvertantly sabatoging my efforts to lose weight so it's good that he's been cut out.

Wow, Noel, that's STILL a lot of pushing! LOL!

Back on track - I walked just over 2 miles yesterday AND made myself get on the elliptical after dinner for 12 minutes!

Great Char, way to get back on the exercise pony. As for teh cart, I just wish I had weighed the pediasure before I got rid of the scale then I would have a better guess.

I walked to the daycare this morning but got a ride from there. I actually wish I hadn't but the lady from the office offered and I said ok. So just a mile this morning...well I shouldn't say "just" it was a good mile.

Charski - Good Job! What exactly is an elliptical? I'm sure I've seen them and I know I've heard of them. Just need to get a mental image of it.

Noel - A mile can be a significant distance!

I didn't walk monday becaus they were predicting rain on and off all day. But it didn't rain until after midnight. So Tuesday they gave the same forecast and I ignored it. Walked around the lake, 7 miles. Not a drop of rain to be seen. I'm thinking of not walking today. walked the dog this morning for 10 minutes andwhen i came back in my clothes were actually wet. Not from rain from humidity. achhhhh Besides I have an appointment with the tax man today and may finally be all caught up with back taxes. yipeeeeeee!

Hate the humidity, but would welcome the rain. It's been so dry lately. First it's too wet and then it's too dry.

Got my mile walk to daycare in this morning. It's begun to stay warm through the night so in the morning it's warmer than I would like. I don't like to get too sweaty before I get to work.

Oh, I noticed this morning my calfs are getting some muscle in them. Woo-hoo! I use to have such muscular legs when I was a nursing assistant. I'd like that again. I didn't pay much attention when I was doingWATP but I'm sure they were better then as well.

Noel - Then I'll send our rain your way post haste!

I only managed 2 miles yesterday. Too too humid, and today it's raining.
went to the tax office for my appointment and waited 20 minutes after the receptionist paged my tax guy. Then she pages him again and makes a call. Seems my tax guy was in another city that day. Thanks a heap for wasting my time and a gallon and a half of gas. cheez. All because i forgot to declare stock options as income in 2001.

That stinks about the tax guy, Rob. I hate to waste time like that...worse waste gas like that...you should charge him for your time. Wouldn't it be nice if the wrold worked like that? Be there or get charged.

I got my mile walk in this morning. Today I liked the fact that I got to daycare and could sit for ten minutes before Raeann came to take me the rest of the way. It gave me time to cool down. When I do the daycare to work walk after I get the car I'm going to give myself ample time to get here so I can cool down in the back for ten minutes before starting my day.
