I guess I didn't try hard enough to do the WATP because I didn't. But we got a break last night in the weather and it rained. Today it's a bit cooler and tomorrow it will only get into the 70's, thank God! It could be 70's for the rest of the summer and I would be happy because I'm not getting to the pool anyhow.

Good for you, Rob, for getting out there!

I did manage to clean like a madwoman on Saturday. So I burned some calories...just not enough to make up for the evenings in the lazy boy.

Finally I did the darn one mile WATP dvd. It was pretty awesome...kidding, it was slow going. I couldn't do the tempo so I slowed down a tad. I also didn't do the stretchy band because I don't know where mine is right now. I haven't done it in so very long. But I will find it before tomorrow. Guess I'm not in the shape I was six months ago. The only thing I can do is keep practicing and I'll get back there soon enough.

Oh yeah, we got rain. THANK GOD FOR THE RAIN! It's so nice and cool right now. Tomorrow should be a rainy day and i am looking forward to it. Probably what helped motivate me to do WATP tonight.

Rob, I saw this morning on the news that Raliegh was going to be 100! Are you just dying? Especially with the humidity. I know you're not in Raliegh but they didn't say anything else about the state. I hope the heat hasn't hampered you too much today.

I am not looking forward to working out tonight. I'm really not in the mood. But I will make myself anyhow.

Oh yeah, baby was pretty psyched to see Leslie again. We listened to show tunes instead of her though. It was funny that when I started with the leg lifts there was a song on that said "Come on lift those legs higher...blah blah blah...perspire..." I was doing a lot of that...perspiring.

Noel - wilting is more like it. Supposed to reach 100 today as well. Only hit 98 here yesterday. ONLY? Good for you on the WATP!

It was too hot to walk outdoors yesterday but I'm claiming my 2 trips to walmart as my walk. seriously between parking in outer mongolia and having to circle the store several times my pedometer said I walked 1 1/2 miles. Bought a new printer and when i went to set it up I found out they don't supply the necessary USB cable. So back to Walmart. grrrrr. But I did get a good workout cleaning under and around all the equipment on my computer desk. actually one of those old-timey huge grey metal 300 pound desks.

That walmart is always a lot of walking. The stores are so big and electronics is usually way in the back. I use to go, park on the other side of the lot and that was a full walking day for me.

I did the one mile WATP last night before supper. This time I did listen to Leslie and let her motivate me to keep up. I did pretty well. I'm going to keep doing the one mile until I am totally up to speed and then move up to the two mile that's on the same dvd. I actually think I'll be able to do it by next week. Then I will stick with the two mile for a while.

I know my slow down has come because of not doing these workouts. They were so helpful for so long...I'm an idiot...well not an idiot just was dumb for a moment but now I'm better.

Noel - Good for you! Get back on the horse without looking back!

I was motivated yesterday. Felt so much energy and ambition that I couldn't sit still. I attribute it to my recent addition of Coq10. I used to take it for years before it became so expensive. But I bit the bullet the other day adn bought a bottle of 100 mg coq10. Anywho I walked 5.25 miles at the mall yesterday. I could have walked a lot more but I had an appointment.

That's great, Rob.

I decided last night to try and do the 2 mile WATP a little early. Not pushing myself just trying. I got to just under a mile and a half before stopping. I even kept up the pace. I didn't want to push myself because I remember when I strained my thigh muscle last year, that stunk. Baby got excited again watching me copy Leslie.

Noel - I guess we should rename this challenge - The Rob and Noel couchfauxtato challenge. lol Good job and good idea starting slowly.

I walked 3 miles in the morning yesterday but got caught in a downpour the last mile. Then had to sit in my Doctor's waiting room for half an hour soaking wet. brrr. But the weather has cooled by 20 degrees and it was wonderful walking. Then in the evening i did another mile.

Walked 6 1/2 miles at Tanglewood yesterday. Very wet there with all the rain we've had the past 2 days (as well as today). That brought me to 90 miles even for July which isn't bad considering that half the month was so incredibly hot and teh other half was raining. I'll try to get in a last walk for July today but that may not be possible.

Howdy TATERS!!!! Just checkin' in. I've been TRYING to get over to Curves BEFORE work. That one girl did it AGAIN and messed up my routine. She decided to not get there on time, so I missed my workout one morning. It really messes things up for me. But I have been asking one of the other girls what the schedule is, so I can plan accordingly and not try to go in when "delinquent girl" decides to not open on time.

Rob and Noel, you guys have been doing GREAT!!!! It's been 90-100 here too, ICK!!!! It's oppressive!!! I don't go outside if I don't have to.

Char, I still have my hoolah-hoop, sitting in my closet collecting cob-webs. I do still hoop at Curves once in awhile tho. We all pitched in and got one of those really heavy suckers that are padded with ridged on the inside. Now, THAT's a work-out!!!! I gotta get one for myself to use at home. I think you can only buy them on the internet so far. I forget what they are called.

Welp, gotta go make zucchini lasagna.

LATERS!!!!! TATERS!!!!

Barb - Nice to see you here! You've been missed!
This weather makes you want to stay indoors all the time.

I managed to walk 2 miles yesterday, partly in a light misty rain. That brings my total for July to 92 miles. well below my previous June miles.

I'll start the August challenge.
