I'm not too bad yet...I won't be doing an everyday keto check because I want to conserve my sticks. I can't fall back into that again!

Most of the time I'm way to comatose to remember them until it's too late! I'm really going to bed soon...promise!

I agree...Keto stix don't come cheap. I got a double pack for half of what a single would cost...in a clearance at WalMart. Later!

Good morning Ladies,
Well Heather, I expect you are now firmly in Onederland and very happy about that!!
How has it been going for everyone? Any non scale victories to report?
I am still waking up having my first cup of coffee of the day, feeling oh so much the slug, sure hope that changes

I haven't been near the scale monster since a couple of days before we started the Challenge. Although I sometimes wonder how I'm going - I just keep onplan and am not having too much withdrawals now - but it was very difficult the first few days!

I love the little ketostix! I was using them like mad there for awhile just to make sure I didn't slip out or get too far into the purple. I laid off for awhile and now I use them again. hehe. Right now I know I'm there though cuz of this horrid taste in my mouth. blech, does it make your breath smell bad?

I just work up and I really didn't want to get out of bed this morning. Now that i'm up I pretty awake, but I still want to go back to bed.

mizkitty, my breathe has been worse lately than usual...really it's the taste in my mouth. My filtered water doesn't even taste as good (but I still drink it). I'm guessing because my carbs are a lot lower than usual.

I almost gave in to the scale demon last night. I couldn't sleep so I was up late and lying in bed thinking and I thought "I bet you are getting close to your high school weight...it's OK just check in the morning". Had I not taken the scale out of the condo and down to the furnace room I would have weighed myself for sure about midnight. Now my furnace room is just at the bottom of my steps outside but I wasn't so desperate that I was going to go down and get it. I'm happy not to have given in. Not that weighing is bad but when you are challenging yourself not to then it's necessary to stick to that challenge. Though if I had given in I would have been here to confess this AM.

so what does it mean if you've got the nasty ketosis mouth, but your ketostix aren't showing anything? I've only had 2 bottles of water today and have been to the bathroom like 4 times! I need to get some work done. hehe

mizkitty, sometimes our urine gets very diluted from drinking so much water that it won't register on the sticks. And as you may have read here, some people don't register at all.

When I first start drinking more water I go potty far more often than when my body gets use to it. This to me shows what everyone says, if you don't drink enough water you will retain fluid. Sounds odd but true. So when you start drinking more water the fluid comes off rather quickly.

(I'm all alone at the office, nothing to do but type and answer phones and the phones aren't ringing much.)

Brandi there are many times the only time I will show pink is the first morning urine, and after it is diluted it will show neg even though I am in ketosis....my aunt (a former lab tech) told me it is because most of the ketones are spilled in the first morning run
If you have yuk breath, don't worry about it

Junieshops I saw that you have lost 105 pounds! That is amazing! You are so close to your goal! When was the last time you were at that weight? For me highschool. That was the weight I was when I met my husband. I'm bound and determined to get back at that weight! :jump:

Heather,
it has been 16 years since I was a decent weight and I wore a size 9, I quickly ballooned up to 300 and the least I have weighed in the past few years was maybe 230...(redux) so I am excited.....with 2 years of exercise and the tummy tuck and arm lift I really don't know what my weight goal will be yet, I can now wear most 12's and almost zip up some 10's so I guess my goal will be to feel good in my skin if that makes sense
