Dreary weather can kill me when it comes to motivation.
I did not get my leaves raked last night. :( And no WATP. For shame.
Tonight I should get out with the baby after work but he's got therapy and it gets dark so quickly now. Excuses.

You'll do okay, Noel. Make time for what you can
I didn't do WATP tonight. My knees are still kind of achy, and my step-sons are coming for the weekend. I had to clean the kidlet's room so that his brothers don't step on and break his toys. I did do my upper body/weights while I watched NCIS though, and I cleaned the whole house and did 3 loads of laundry. Its not what I originally wanted to do, but I feel like I got a semi-decent workout tonight.
Colleen - Thanks, I think I just need to get myself acclimated to winter.
Katie - Housework can be a good workout. I'm thinking that will be today's workout for me.
Noel - You know, maybe it's the early dark that has me wanting to hibernate?
Walked 5 miles yesterday in really crummy weather. 15 mph winds gusting to 30 mph did nothing to make 42 degrees tolerable.

Have managed to get over 10,000 steps for each of the last two days. That makes one whole week where I have reached the goal every day.:great:
Colleen:(
Dragon - That's very good!
I haven't walked since Tuesday and probably won't get in a formal walk today. But I'm going to try and do as many steps around the house as possible today.

Mucked it up this morning - only 9388 by 9 o?lock. Was going to take Lance for a walk but we had a howling easterly wind this morning and I was too scared of tree branches coming down.
I've got an idea, maybe we can get a sports equipment company to design a treadmill or stationary bike that has a tray for our keyboards so we can exercise while online.
Colleen:(
No?l & Katie,
Found 2 WATP DVDs in a sports store today:
1,2 miles and 3 mile. These are probably older ones. I think I'll put them on my Christmas list.

I love the one that I have, Dragon. I got the one that has the 1 and 2 mile walks on it, since I figured I need a very beginning one, and it will be nice to have something to shoot for on the same DVD without having to go buy a new one.
I found a more advanced one that includes some kickboxing moves at Walmart, but since I can barely stand on one leg without falling over (no sense of balance), I figured that one would be beyond me.
I hope Santa brings them to you
Okay... my exercise the past few days is pretty unconventional (or very conventional if you're a housewife)... I did 8 loads of laundry yesterday, cleaned the bathroom 3 times (how can boys get SO MUCH water on the floor?), and did the dishes about 20 times in 2 days... did another 2 loads of laundry today, and speed walked Austin (I put the 65 pound wonder in a shopping cart) around Wally World while we got a new tire for the car. Since the laundry room is out in the garage, and I have to go out there 2 times for each load switch (once to bring laundry in, once to take more out after the washer is empty), I figure I got quite a bit of walking in, not to mention the stairs.
I need to do my DVD again!!!
Colleen - I'll bet they have treadmills with a keyboard holder attached. I know they have book holders. You could adapt that to fit a keyboard, I'll bet.
Katie - "but since I can barely stand on one leg without falling over (no sense of balance)" LOL - sounds like me.
I feel redeemed! After 3 days without walking I did 7 1/2 miles at Tanglewood yesterday.

The weather was originally forecast to be sunny and mid 60s but they changed it to low 50s and rain starting in the afternoon. So I headed out in the morning for my walk. Stopped at the pet shop and when I came out it was raining. So plans for a long walk were doomed. But I was determined to get in some kind of activity and walked 1 1/2 miles in the rain. It was Sandy's first good walk since she came down with parvo and I just didn't want to disappoint her by going home. Tried to make up for such a short walk with 2 hours of housework. Supposed to rain the next 2 days also. Bah.

The 1 & 2 mile express walk is the first one I got, then I got the four mile and the three mile express walks. Now if I would just do them.
I have been a total slug with exercise as well as eating.
I did however get out Saturday and rake the back lawn and leaves from the neighborhood from the front lawn. So that was good...just not good enough. Every time I think I am out of my funk I fall back into it.

November's almost over, but I'm going to try to finish the next few days with a little more exercise. Last night I did some arm work with dumbbells, and some stretching, a few crunches. May try to do some walking along with my tapes (Leslie Sansone); can't do all her moves as knees won't cooperate. I need to get a little more limber for vacation next week, which will involve more walking than I usually get.

Jam yesterday, jam tomorrow, but never jam today!
Welcome Queenmama!
Another rainy day but i lucked out. Was only going to walk half an hour but the rain let up so much that I was able to walk 5 miles in 1 hour 15 minutes.

Walked half a mile yesterday in 12 minutes. Walked 1 mile this morning in 21 minutes.
Rained on and off again yesterday, more on than off and very very hard. So had to make do with in store walking. 2 trips to Home Depot and one to walmart added up to over a mile and a half. Then removed vinyl tiles from a small hallway which felt like a lot of work even though it only took 1/2 hour.
