You said the "S" word!!!!!!

It's been unseasonably warm here. I need, need, need to go make green tea. When I was working I made it everynight for my crystal lite to take to work. Now that I'm off, I have gotten wayyyyyyyyy out of my routine!!!! I'm off to make tea!!!!!!

Personally, I hate winter. Dry skin, runny nose, frozen hands and feet. ICK!! But, here it is, November 8, and it was like 85 here. Beautiful. Of course, it may be snowing by Thanksgiving.....this is Texas, ya know!

I'm brewing up some green tea now....my beloved Earl Grey Green!

I'll be brewing up for dh and me tonight before bed. I really think that it is a great way to wind down.

I had to kick up my green tea since I've been a little constipated lately. My grandma said that she used to use it as a diaretic so hopefully it works! Just hope that it doesn't work too good - lol!

Hello ladies...just a quick complaint! I HATE (note the capital letters!) the Bigalow! I know Maxi said she used it in some concoction, but I just drink it all plain. It's yucky! I got some Earl Grey (MAXI!!!) but haven't tried it yet, and some Salada Green Tea with Red Antioxidants, it's different, and pretty good. anyway, just thought I'd share.

Heather, what are you talking about? The Bigelow plain green? I love plain green with just Splenda to sweeten it a bit. And I put a bag of Celestial Seasonings Cinnamon Apple in a couple of batches, but I got tired of that quickly.

Earl Grey is a flavoring made with oil of bergamot. Bergamot are an orange-type citrus fruit that I've never heard of before. The oil from them is spicy, citrusey, and sort of perfumey. It's not for everyone. I tried Stash Chai Green Tea once.......I'm sure it is a popular flavor, but just not for me. I ended up sending the rest of the box to a friend.

Barb likes fruit-flavored teas, I think. It may take a while of trial and error for you to find a flavor you like. Or maybe you will just like it plain.

I did see something I thought would be good for hot tea w/a splash of soymilk in it: Bigelow has some black teas flavored with Vanilla Caramel, Vanilla Almond, and Hazelnut Vanilla. Sounds good.....but maybe not!

Well, I had a variety box of green tea from Bigalow. They were decaf, lemon, mint, regular, and I think orange or something. I think I liked the mint ok. Didn't care for the rest of them. Yesterday I found Earl Grey (remembering that you loved that kind) and got it. Not too big a fan of that either. I like the tea with a little heavy cream, but I was trying to cut that out. The red kind and the Kombuca I think I can stick with.

I decorating a bit for Christmas today. Bought some window snow spray that actually looks pretty good. The kids will like it and that is what counts. Can't wait until the 6 year old gets home today to see it. Like to get in the storage closet but dh who saves everything would kill me if I went through his stuff to get it. He's afraid I'll throw away things that "are" garbage. One man's trash is another man's treasure though - lol. I wouldn't throw anything of his away - I just wish that he liked to save very small things that could fit into little boxes . Anyway, relaxing and drinking tea. Had a bad night of eating last night so flushing out my system. I'm drinking nother but tea today in hopes that it'll do the trick and I won't have so much of a gain at weigh in tomorrow.

I got the same variety box at Sam's. There were 4 boxes of tea in one pack for a great price, so I bought it. I always do 6 tea bags for 2 quarts of iced tea. Usually 4 plain green and 2 flavored, or more recently, 2 decaf in there somewhere.

Anyway, I did not like Mango much.....or the Peach. I couldn't taste the Lemon and I cannot even imagine TRYING the Mint. That sounds gross to me. So, I've had my "experiments", too!

I've not tried the red teas or Kombuca. And I think I've done enough experimenting. I'll stick with Bigelow Earl Grey Green, plain green of any brand, and Tazo Zen. When I'm at Starbucks, that's what I have.

If you want these Mint tea bags, PM me with your address and I'll mail them to you. I think I have 4 or 6....

Sorry you didn't like Earl Grey! Like I said, one of my friends LOVES Chai flavored teas and it just ain't my thing. To each his own, right?

Oh Maxi, thanks so much. But when I said they were "ok", I think I meant I didn't GAG when I choked it down!
I'm going to stick with the red and the Kombuca and try that Tazo Zen at Starbucks. And yes, everything is "each his own"!

ps-I think part of my problem was too many bags/leaving them in too long. I'm one of those "if a little is good, a lot must be great!"

Well, one of you Heather's PM me already and I will unload this mint tea. The mere thought of mint cocoa, mint ice cream or mint tea makes me gag. Mint is for gum or breath savers, nothing more! LOL! (I am SO narrow-minded.)

I'm sticking with my Earl Grey Green. Love the Earl!
