Maxibee, you probably finally got all that water off of you with the water and green tea. So now you definitely aren't dehydrated.

I would like to see 285 by the end of the month.

I went down to get the baby's laundry this morning and couldn't stay off the scale but I am glad I didn't. I am back to 289. That is very encouraging and now I can get back to losing towards goal. I would love to lose the couple pounds for my Thanksgiving goal so I can give out a new number when my BIL asks how much I have lost so far. As I am sure he will.

Heather you can amend my goal since I lost the bloat to 287...no let's push myself and make it 286.

So 302/289/286.

I'm going to have to keep up the WATP and no cheats this and next week but I CAN do it.

Way to go! Add me to the list.....I made my goal today! I was so happy to see that 1! I weigh the same as I did last year on this day. Now, for a different future: hanging in on my plan during these holidays. That's where I messed up last Christmas. I ate junk for days on end and felt horrible.....mentally and physically!

I'd LOVE to be in the 'teens by the end of the month. And I've got half the month left to do it. I'm happy about the loss, but still angry at myself for allowing myself to gain so much weight in the first place. And for getting down to 202 in 2000.....and regaining it plus some. It's been a long almost 5 years trying to lose that weight again.

But there's no sense in coulda-shoulda-woulda, is there? Dr.Phil has a quote in his book....something like" Yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn't here yet, all we have is today." So, I won't cry over spilled milk. Especially since I'm non-dairy now! LOL!

congrats maxibee!! very happy for you (and everyone else, you're all doing so well!)!!

thanks for the encouragement guys.. i just realized i'll be finishing this challenge right in the thick of TOM, so my hopes aren't too high results-wise... i figure for the rest of the challenge, i'm just going to focus on staying on-plan, drinking a lot of water, and trying to get in as much exercise as possible, and hopefully by the time TOM leaves and thanksgiving is past, i'll come out of it all unscathed.

do y'all find that it's harder to motivate yourselves to exercise when it's bitterly cold out? that's the hurdle i'm trying to get over right now. my body feels sluggish.

Great job Maxibee on making your goal today! Woo hoo! Shall we add a mini goal along with Noel's? I'm so proud that you made your 1st goal Noel that I just added your new one next to your old goal. Is that okay if I keep it like that?

Sitting here on day 3 of my re-induction. Food wise, I'm doing pretty well, but just can't seem to get myself to push the water. I've always heard that doing low carb a 2nd time, you will not have the results you did the first. Is this true? I'd like to see somewhat of the same results I did last time, but almost 60 lbs in 4 months is alot. Don't want to go quite that much, but maybe 45 in 3.5 months. I'm just wondering if that is even going to be doable since this is my second time around.

Hey Max, I was just having that same type feeling. I got into my "middle weight" jeans this morning, and while I was happy, there was a little sadness knowing that I've already lost this part once! I have to lose it, and some more to even get where I was before, and then ten more to goal! argh! but you (and dr phil) are right. We'll just go from here!
We have one week after today until Thanksgiving. LET'S DO THIS!!
and I'm already thinking of my Christmas goal!!!!

Hi everyone!

I am down a lb - not what I'd expected or hoped for but 1 lbs loss is better than a gain.

I am not even concerned with Thanksgiving - I am more concerned with keeping myself out of he grocery store and out of the cereal aisle!!!! I am seriously jones'n for some cereal!!!!!! (always cereal, and always Fruity Pebbles!).

Funny thing is, whever I do cheat it always spurrs me on, I get a renewed spirit about it all, I'll exercise better, eat better, and truthfully, even feel better!

I guess because I had what I wanted so I am not fighting it and because once I have it I then know I have to work extra hard to get it off.

I've got it bad tonight though people!! I'm seriously wanting to eat somehting I know I shouldn't :-(

OhDear! Don't do it! Hang in there....that's what this challenge is about.

Yes, I DO want to make a mini-goal. Why? Because not only did I reach my present goal, but I am down another pound. I was at 220 this morning. This is my lowest weight yet since 2000. Like I said before, I'm happy to be at a lower weight, but not happy to be overweight at all. There are worse problems to have!

What's my mini-goal gonna be? Thanksgiving is a week from tomorrow......I think I want to be in the 'teens by Thanksgiving INSTEAD of the end of the month, which was my sort of mini-goal. So my mini-goal is to be 219 or lower by Thanksgiving. I am not taking these losses for granted. Maybe it's eating non-dairy, maybe it's the Adderall, maybe it's my increased exercise, water, and staying on plan. I don't care how, I just want it to continue!
(BTW-I was on the Adderall for 10 days before going non-dairy. When I quit the milk products, my weight immediatley started dropping.)

Another mini-goal is to lose 4 pounds by month's end. 220/220/216 by November 30.

This is only the second challenge goal I've made and that makes me happy. Now, I need to give some thought to a Christmas goal!

Default Re: Hanging in during the Holidays Thanksgiving Challenge

you can do it maxi!!!

there is NO WAY i will make my thanksgiving goal. i had wanted to be 210 or below. i weighed in at 215 this morning, which means i lost 1.5 lbs this week.

i'm good with that. i don't want to push my body to do more than it wants to. and i would rather lose slowly than force the loss and pile the pounds right back on as soon as i eat something not so good for me.

so yeah... now i'm looking towards the christmas goal, and hoping to be under 214 at thanksgiving. i suppose that's the re-adjusted goal... 214 by next week.

and for christmas/ new years, i would like to be in the 207-209 range. i think 199 is an attainable goal for the first few weeks of next year... and if i reach it sooner, then we'll party!
