Only if I get to reach my goal 1st - lol! Maybe we could invent electric shock treatment over the computer when you have been bad? Plug in your computer camera and I'll see what I can do. Seriously though I'm afraid to check the scale Thursday and have decided not to. Don't need to see the #'s so I can get depressed and binge. I won't be weighing in until December 3rd then I'll make my official Christmas challenge. I would like to get to signature weight for 1st Christmas goal because I'm betting I'm not close.

ugh... i am comforted by the fact that i'm not the only one having troubles but at the same time i wouldn't wish these difficulties on anyone.

i'm slipping into old patterns as well and i'm kind of floundering. TOM hit me hard yesterday and i've been an emotional wreck seeking solace in naughty comfort foods... i think my goal--AND the weight i started at, probably--has been completely forgotten and now i'm just hoping not to go careening too far in the wrong direction.

i need to get hold of the reigns that flailed out of my hands and get myself back in control. :( otherwise it's bad news bears.

why is this so hard sometimes, guys~

I think it is because I've gone 27 years with the same eating habits and now because I'm fat I need to change them. Would I change them if I wasn't fat - of course not! It's going to take a lot of time to break 27 years worth of habit but it's one day at at time sweetie. Each day that I fall I make sure I start I pick myself up again. I never did that before but would give up - you are still here too Leahruthie. We're changing already!

Ladies, it is hard. really hard. I think we are all going through the same thing right now. it is the holidays, and that brings back so much of what we are trying to get away from.
well meaning relatives and friends "but it's THANKSGIVING!!!", "Just one meal won't hurt", "mmmmmm, it's so good" etc
and just having relatives around makes me feel somehow like a child again, and out of control of what I do.
all the stress of the holidays sends me running for comfort food
all the busy-ness affords little time, so fast food seems so much easier, and since you are already AT the burger joint...
I think that all these things are at work right now, but we can just try our best to take it one day at a time, recover when we fall off, make better decisions next time, move on.
Thanks for being here everyone! it really helps to share it!

Hey, everyone. I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. I did weigh-in....still at 220. I was up a pound Tuesday and yesterday, so I was glad to see it gone this morning. Still, I surpassed my original goal by one pound, but was 1 pound away from my mini-goal. Oh, well....I'm just going to extend my goal deadline until the 30th.

I did good with my eating with one exception: I had one roll. I knew I was doing it....I used my HeartSmart non-dairy butter stuff on it and I enjoyed it.

My plate: 3 deviled egg halves, some turkey and ham, mashed cauli and gravy, green beans, the roll, and broccoli salad. For dessert, I had some fruit salad and a peice of the "okay" non-dairy/low carb pecan pie I made. That's it.

I got a little hungry about an hour ago, so I had a peice of the pie. That was enough. I didn't feel like dragging all the leftovers out. I will later, though...I'll be packing myself a nice lunch for tomorrow since I have to work.

Heather, I won't fight you for the hostess title! You've done a great job here and I appreciate it. Go ahead and start the Christmas challenge whenever you're ready. I'll be there! Meanwhile, I'll be thinking of a goal for that challenge.

I can't believe it, but I DID IT!!! I had some turkey, two LARGE helpings of salad (lettuce and cucs w/ ranch) some rice-a-flower (which tasted like saurkraut because I over did the vinegar!) some homemade green bean casserole (checked ingredients and it was all beans, cheese, heavy cream, butter, etc...legal stuff) and a small amt of stuffing that I decided would not put me over the limit, as this was all I had all day. No potatoes, no candied yams, no roll (that was easy...we burned them! hahaha!!!) and no dessert. it was hard, but not as hard as I thought it would be.

and as for the challenge...yeah, only made it to 167, and this morning I was 168. :(
That's ok, though, TOM will be here Tuesday, so I'm just going to hope for a big whoosh by next weekend.
I'm going to paste this to the 100 day challenge and my journal. even though it seems like I see the same folks everywhere I am!

Ready for the Christmas challenge!

and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I am thankful for you!

HELLO ALL OF YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!!

Thank you SO MUCH for your kind words and encouragement!!! I only wish I had come here to read it all before going off the deep end for WEEKS.

Yes weeks... I've take entire weeks off now and I think I've gained 12 lbs!!!!!!!!!

12 lbs!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to count them though... I am back on track and I am going to work really hard and I might weigh in about two weeks to see where I am, it would be too discouraging to weigh now, I weighed a few days ago that's how I know about the 12 lbs :-(

Good thing is, I am back...

Weebles wobble but they don't stay down!! :-)

OhDear! (An appropriate name right now!) I'm glad you are not discouraged. I've done the very same thing. That's what we call a "slippery slope". By looking at your pics, I can see you've come a long way on your journey. You can keep going. Please feel free to join us in the "Jiggle all the Weigh" Christmas challenge. The more, the merrier!
