| Tea Day it is Barb! I know what you mean Maxibee. I made cheese omelet and hashbrowns for dh when he went to work and thought I'd turn on a 3rd burner for my tea pot. Dh spotted a tea mug that he plans on buying me. He is so sweet! I'm on 2 cups of tea already. |

| I haven't had one cup yet!! Need to kick it in the butt and get in there. We have a Bunn coffee maker. Don't drink coffee so we fill it for Hot water. 10 cups it holds so NO excuse for me not having that tea today!! TEA DAY!! I going right now!! |

| I made the omelet this morning and the tea tonight, and having some right now! I used to be so much more consistent about everything. But, it's getting a little easier, with DH trying to drop some pounds, too. Things are just SO crazy at work, it's hard to get in enough liquids. When we get this big account settled, changes made and the owner goes home, I hope things will get back to normal!

| Just a quick question...does it being TOM put on weight??? And how much? |

| TOM definitely puts on pounds. I usually see 2-3 lbs. ACK!!!!! Interestingly enough tho, I have noticed in the past that when I was drinking g. tea my cramps were minimal. Of course now, I'm only getting it every 2-3 months, pretty much cramp-free. I think the tea really helps with that.

| Ok is it really true that drinking tea with heavy whipping cream defeats the purpose of drinking the tea for the antioxidants? I am drinking black tea and green tea but I usually add 1tble of splenda and 2tble of heavy whipping cream. My next question is...does anybody have a good recipe to make a pitcher of cold tea, I mean how tea bags to you use compared to water with green or black tea and do you use splenda to sweeten it? thanks I am trying to drink tea but I want it to work for me so I can get all the great antioxidants..thanks for everyones help ..sheryl

| This has started out to be a good tea day, and I haven't had one cup yet! It's quite overcast, but no rain in sight. I was so stressed yesterday, as soon as I got home I had a cup of mint tea with a drop of coconut extract, Splenda and cream. It was so soothing! Had another before bedtime. Slept really good. I think I need something to energize me today. I might use the coffee pot to heat some water after lunch and work on some green tea this afternoon. And put it in a mug so it'll stay hot. Nothing worse than tepid tea, except perhaps tepid coffee. {Shudder}

| I haven't heard of that sherbear, have you Barb? I would think that it couldn't possibly cancel out the effects. And next question, sorry, I only drink hot tea even when it is 100 degrees outside |

| We've seen alot of articles about green tea over the past year or so since we (Barb) started this whole "movement"! And alot of discussion about the dairy additions negating the effects of the antioxidants in the tea.....and the answer is yes. For whatever reason, it does at least minimize the effect, if not stop it entirely. I'll see if I can find an old thread or a link somewhere to that. I use 6 regular (cup) sized tea bags to 2 quarts of water. I let my water get really hot, almost boiling, then throw my 6 bags (I use half decaf) into the pot and let it steep for a few minutes. Then, I add it to my pitcher with about half a cup of powdered Splenda. (I need to order some liquid Splenda!) I drink mine heavily iced, so I am still getting the green tea, but alot of water also....so less Splenda per glass than it seems to be, since it is very diluted. This is just the way I brew it, I'm sure others have a different way. Just don't steep too long, it can get very bitter. HTH
