I must've been temporarily insane when I set my goal for this challenge! I lost 15 pound in the year 2005. What would make me think I could lose almost 20 pounds in 9 weeks??

If I were to actually make my Birthday Challenge goal of 199....10 pounds in 9 weeks seems doable. But I gained this past week...(after the Valentine's challenge was over, I just fell apart) so I have 4 MORE pounds to lose. (BTW-TOM just showed up: at midnight!)

Safely, 2 pounds a week is a good amount to lose. Multiply that times 9 weeks and yes, one could lose 18 pounds safely. And if I WERE 199 by March 3, that would leave me about 6 weeks to lose (safely) another 12 pounds (like I've ever lost 2 pounds per week!)

Okay, so it's doable. Fine. I won't chicken out and change my stats. I'd better get off my @$$ and on my feet and get to working out. April will be here before I know it!

Gotta go....I need to give Heather my stats for the "Bunny Butt" or whatever Challenge!

One lb down of the 3 that went up over the weekend. I'm counting it, too!

I was down to 207 this morning. If I would just quit regaining then having to relose....I would be about 67 pounds by now! I made the Valentine's Day goal and lost an extra pound...down to 205 FOR ONE DAY!! I've had TOM and seen 211 since then! Yikes! In only a week....I only have 8 days to do my BEST to get to 199. That has been my goal, becuase I want to see my OB/GYN faint. I was 226 last year. Even at 206, a 20 pound loss from last year will be thrilling enough for him. (Takes so little to amuse this guy!)

But, from a "health professional" perspective.....he's right: when a person my age with weight issues doesn't GAIN....but does manage to drop a few pounds, they are happy about that. Probably since excess weight creates alot of health issues.

I just had a big salad tonight....with avacado and a chicken breast on it. I didn't want to repeat last night's I'm-so-hungry-I-am-going-to-eat-everything-in-sight thing.

No downward movement yet. But then again, no gaining, either. So no smile, but no frown, either. Just exasperation. Sigh.
