almost got a pop yesterday without thinking, but changed my mind.
so, doing well, pop isn't an issue.

have gone 4 days without COFFEE, and started TOM this morning. I think that is pretty darn miraculous.

I would like to join-in too. I thought of joining this challenge yesterday but wanted to try out a day before starting. Yesterday went well without pop so today will be day # 2 for me.

Thumbs down Re: No Pop Til Ya Drop!!!!

does anyone else get the headache when they drink too much water. It seems I get this headache in between my eyes and it is only when I am drinking regular bottled water.
ANY IDEAS????:(

Day # 3

Thanks for the warm welcome PQ. I have never experienced headaches from drining water. Are you sure it is water thats causing it and not something else (caffeine withdrawal etc). I was having those kind of headaches when I switched from regular to decaf coffee.
Yesterday went well without pop, today is day # 3. So far so good.

Ambition,
Thanks for the ideas however, I am hiper active and I take in caffeine maybe once or twice a month. I always hated coffee too! yuck! Besides I am forever trying to make my teeth as white as chicklets and coffee is a major hinderance to that.
The headache ONLY happens when drinking alot of water.

I did research on the net and found this discussion on it: http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/ar.../t-361580.html

Someone wrote: Dehydration, food allergies, caffiene withdrawl, and radical changes in diet can cause headaches.

There have been reports out there that people can drink too much water causing water intoxication (headache being a symptom) but by being athletic your need to replenish water and maintain balance will be higher than the normal couch potato.

I went and looked up water intoxication and found this which scared me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication
Here is also a really good artcle where they called it hyponatremia: http://sportsmedicine.about.com/cs/h...a/aa051200.htm

You'd have to drink an awful lot of water to get water intoxication. When you are exercising or eating low carb, you need lots of water to flush all the crud out of your system. It would be hard for most of us to get too much. Of course, if you are chug-a-lugging water, you could possible have problems, but just sipping or drinking it throughout the day shouldn't cause problems. And if you are thirsty, by all means drink some water!

BTW, I read on Carbwire that Coke is not going to make Splenda sweetened Diet Coke anymore. What are they, crazy? Why poison us with aspartame? Wait! Why should we care? We giving it up!!!!
