| Not usually into challenges? Don't want to tie yourself to a particular weight or size result? Intimidated by more traditional Exercise Forums? Do you, perhaps, have a treadmill that has clothes hanging on it? ... hmmm? But are you, perhaps, willing to contemplate a modest expenditure of activity with a short term commitment? Then this is the place for you! You decide what your challenge is, since you know yourself best. It could be taking the stairs at work, so many times per week, or if you're in the right climate, going for a walk at lunch time. No challenge is too small or too odd! Then we'll check in every so often and compare notes. Start to tone up for summer! Define your own challenge! Try it for a month! *****LISTEN, FELLOW SLUGS AND SLOTHS, THIS IS IMPORTANT. A TRUE COUCH FAUXTATO CANNOT JUST LAUNCH HIM OR HERSELF OFF THE COUCH AND INTO AN INTENSIVE EXERCISE PROGRAM! Now, I realize that, for most of us, there's little chance of that. We are often also great procrastinators and most of us will take our sweet time dusting off tapes and/or looking for long burried exercise equipment, and will be adjusting our activity to whatever feels ok, especially to begin with. However, GET CLEARED, MEDICALLY, FOR WHATEVER CHALLENGE YOU ARE PLANNING FOR YOURSELF! Then proceed in a rational manner. Work into it slowly!

| I'm here. another WATP morning thats 5 out of 6 mornings, and 2 dog walks in the last week. gonna stick to WATP, and work on getting back to Curves in the afternoon. I'm tired of tight clothes, I refuse to get anything new to 'accept' it.

| Believe it or not....I got on the Gazelle today. Not too long, but long enough to get past the uncomfortable stage and into the feeling good stage. Per the advice above, I didn't want to overdo it on the first day. It rained on and off here, so no bike riding today. Between the Parabody home gym, my bike, and the Gazelle.....I have no excuse for not exercising! NONE!! Day one down, a bunch to go.....

| Hi all. Touching base again. Still not doing too well on eating but plugging away on the steps. Close to 9,000 today which is heaps better than I've done for awhile. Welcome Bonniejo. Thanks Rob for the comments about the low carb meal replacement idea. I need to do something before I gain all the weight back that I have lost.

| Saturday was furniture rearranging day. I moved all the furniture except a cabinet and the entertainment center. And a shelf from the storeroom to the dining room. Today I feel it, too!

| Just a least check on things before bed. I did 2 circuits on the Parabody home gym I have: pull downs, lifts, leg curls, leg presses, butterflies, crunches, and the pull-ups where you lift the bar on the end of the chain. I did 15 reps of each twice. And I didn't have to miss a bit of Housewives or Grey's Anatomy. 2 days down, more to go. Have a good, active week everyone.

| You're welcome Colleen. good going on the 9000! Nita - furniture moving counts for sure! MAxi - home gyms are nice. wish I had room (or the money). Yesterday may well have been the most perfect day as far as weather. Sunny bright 79 for the high. Walked a little over 3 miles (3 1/4?) at Salem lake. My pedometer stopped working so I'm just using my best estimates based on the time it takes and the fact that I've been walking the same palces for years.

| ok. Broke out my Core Secrets BALL and dvd. I got it last weekend, but first exercise is using the foot pump to fill it with air - whew! watched the Fundamentals, and it looked like fun. It was. I may not agree later when those Hamstring stretches and crunches kick in. but I managed. Its weights work, and ab work. so, doing along with my walking should be cool. yeah. I still need to get to curves. but this is fun home stuff.

| I did a little over 8 minutes on the gazelle. I have the stamina for more, but the knees don't. Next round I'm shooting for a full 10 minutes.

| I'll try to find something interesting to watch and get on the Gazelle....or if DH is watching something, I'll go in the den and use the home gym. It is a $2200 gym I bought from my sil's friend for $300. The best bargain I ever got! Now, if I would just use is consistently!

| I just hit a wall last night....I was in bed by 11:15. Did not have to get up until 6:00 a.m. and I was so sleepy today. Sleeping almost 7 hours must've worn me out! LOL! I took DH to the hospital for his colonoscopy, then out to eat, home, out shopping for a wedding gift, and to p/u DD from Daycare, etc. I am more tired today than I usually am after work! I exercised 2 days, and now this is the thrid day I haven't! Darnit! I am going to watch "Survivor" from the Gazelle tomorrow night. That's the committment I am making. I have to do what I believe God told me to do: be deliberate, focused, and purposeful to achieve my goals. So far, I haven't....but I know I have to to get there! I hope the rest of your week is active and happy.
