I did 30 minutes on the gazelle this morning, somewhat later than usual. Woke up at 12:30 this morning with both my knees aching, then a short while later it started to storm. These knees are great weather forecasters! Anyway, I needed time for them to loosen up a bit, but the counter says I did 1.61 miles and burned 190 calories. Whew!

Today we made it to the big park. Got there early and it's not so hot but the slides still where too hot. Which was good for me because after wandering the playground Xander wanted to walk so we walked around the whole park. My knees were telling me that I need to do this every day. So my goal is to start our walking again. Even if we don't go on the slides we can get out and walk.

Still trying to keep my steps up here. Did better this week. We've had the dryest start to winter on record and decided to add to the record breaking by having the coldest overnight minimum ever only -0.7C - which I know doesn't sound cold to most of you, but we aren't used to it .

Glad to hear everyone is getting some exercise in.

Been hectic around here so I haven't gotten the exercise in that I wanted to. Did do a lot of walking around different stores the past coupla days, though. Didn't get on the bike at all yesterday, but did move it into another room in the house. Got on for a bit this evening, but only did a mile. Plan to do at least 3 miles tomorrow.

Nita - yeah, I got a back and neck that's a great weather forecaster.

Good plan Noel!

Colleen - -7 sounds cold to me! That's 19 F here in the states.

Bethany - sounds like you got in enough activity. Remember it's okay to plan a day off exercise eevry week.

I took a fairly slow walk yesterday at Tanglewood. Not sure how far but i walked 50 minutes and would estimate it was about 2 1/2 miles. But that was with both dogs on the leash most of the time.

Karma came back to bite me in the butt (long story) I had to clean a condo that wasn't cleaned well enough and spent two solid hours cleaning cupboards, washing walls and scrubbing the kitchen floor of a condo we have for rent. Sweat was dripping off me so I know I burned a ton of calories. Tonight I have to go back to do a second condo. I pray it is not as bad as the first. I could use a nap but Xander won't go to sleep :(

I didn't get on the bike today, but I did a lot of housework. I cleaned out the refrigerator, cleaned a space for my hubby to work cutting keys, did some laundry, swept & mopped the laundry room, & cleaned our mattress (Bob peed on it this morning). Tomorrow I want to tackle the pantry and perhaps the bathroom cabinets. But I still want to get on the bike tomorrow. It's just too late in the day to get on it right now--I'd never get to sleep!

I could have spent another 2 hours cleaning the second condo but ran out of soft scrub. But I did clean (scrub) for an hour and a half so even more calroies burned. Which is good because tomorrow I will be a vegetable!

I almost forgot...we did make it to the park on the way home from cleaning. It was nice and cool by 8, though there was just a little walking as we stopped on our way home at a really nice park.

Noel - sounds like the kind of cleaning that burns lots of calories!

Bethany - I'm guessing bob is a pet. LOL Both sophie and sandy have peed on my bed. What kind of statement are they making?

No walk yesterday. my major exercise were 6 ounce curls with a wine glass and the old potato chip lift.

Rob! Bob is my grandson! (Although he is a pet, too.)

I did 32 minutes on the Gazelle, and worked out with the dumbbells.

Perhaps I should have "introduced" my hubby, Ruben (aka "John") and my son, Jonathan (aka "Bob") when I began posting on this thread. I talk about them in my journal, but I guess I've just thrown their names in there like everyone "knows" them, huh?

Bethany - Nah, I just assumed pets because that's who wets my bed.

Walked 3 1/2 miles at tanglewood yesterday. Gonna be in the 90s today so walking will have to be done early if at all.

I only did 22 minutes on the Gazelle this morning - wasn't up to any more. Maybe I'll feel up to another 10 or 15 minutes after work (ha ha ha).
