4 miles at Tanglewood yesterday. Will probably skip today since I have to be home all morning and it's already 75 degrees at :8:00 a.m.

Did not do my workout this morning - maybe after work. I ached so bad yesterday, all day, that I took a hydrocodone at bedtime (no, this is not a regular thing, just once in a blue moon, and it's actually stuff left over from some dental work).Anyway, I was way too groggy to even wake up, and I'm still groggy and it's over 12 hours since I took that pill. So, I plan to get on the Gazelle after work, and do some weight work, too. Notice I said PLAN, but whether I actually do it is another story!

From now on I think I'm going to stick with ibuprofen or aspirin.....

The garden claw is my new workout tool. Especially when we haven't had any rain. I weeded the areas in the front lawn that I am replanting grass for an hour and then worked the spots wth the garden claw. Some were so hard I ended up watering the lawn and then tore up mnore spots this morning. The only down side to my new workout tool, blisters. I have two new ones that formed after this morning.

Pain pills of any kind do me in too, Nita. But sometimes they are necessary. I have been taking alieve yesterday and today because of a pulled muscle on my side from the garden claw. Viacodin knocks me out so that if it's during the day I can usually only take a half unless Ive thrown my back out.

Did 5 miles on the bike. 3.5 w/no resistance, 1 w/some, & .5 w/none again to cool down. Took about 12.5 mins. The little computer says I burned 243 calories, too.
Mom: I think it's the weather. I've felt crummy for about 3 days now. First with the dizziness & headaches, and my foot, back, & neck have been killing me the past coupla days. When I first started getting the headache, I asked John if there was any rain in the forecast. No. Well, two days later, guess what?

Wow, Beth, you're really getting into the exercise!

I felt so much better after work, so I got in a 30 minute workout, not quite as intense as usual, but still a good solid workout, and also did some weight work. Feel pretty good now.

Did my usual 30 minute morning workout, 20 minutes of it at the more intense level. I think the little computer on the Gazelle is wonky. It shows fewer calories spent and less distance traveled than it did last night. I'm not really into the distance or calories, anyway, I'm just concentrating on at least 30 minutes for 5 or 6 days a week.

Doing good Nita and Beth!

Have been in some pain the past few days and decided if I'm going to heal right I'd better not push myself too hard. ad to that the 90+ temperatures with high humidity and I'm staying indoors as much as possible. even the pooches haven't complained about lack of walking.

Rob, you be careful! Let yourself heal....and keep those furkids cool.

I did 30 minutes on the Gazelle, and 50 reps each of 3 upper arm exercises with a 5 lb weight.

Didn't get on the bike today. I guess maybe these dreary skies have me in a slump. Plus the humidity makes it hard to breathe. But tomorrow is another day, huh?

Decided to leave off the resistance on the bike for a while. I think I see more of a difference when I use none. Besides, I don't want to build a whole lotta muscle just yet. I measured my legs last night & noticed an inch & a half gone from my thighs, an inch gone from my calves, & an inch gone from my ankles! Woo-hoo! I put on a pair of jeans that I have never been able to wear! Woo-hoo X 2!

Oh, yeah, today I did 2 miles on the bike, then got on the cardioglide for oh, about 2 minutes, then did some light weights for my arms, then got back on the bike for another 4 miles. Wore myself plum out--I had to take a nap after that!

Only did 3 miles on the bike today, and it was a slow 3 miles at that. Just didn't feel up to snuff.
