I'm down a couple of lbs.

Last night I had burgers and egg salad, and instead of salad, I had jicama and cucumbers. (I get burned out on salad real fast.)

Breakfast is swiss cheese and bacon.

Kim, I did the Stillman diet, too, and it was just way too hard to stick with. I don't think I'm going to have any problems with this version of Atkins.

Yesterday we finished off the burgers we cooked Saturday. Had a nice salad with them. I'm surprised that I don't feel the need for an evening snack. Well, I did munch on a bowl of pork rinds before supper, but that's because I was really hungry and needed a little something until supper was ready.

I'm going to be out of pocket until Sunday night, so I won't be posting until then or Monday morning. So all of you have a great rest of the week and weekend.

Still waiting for my book to arrive, ladies. I'm excited about it.

See you next week, Nita. Kudos on the weight loss.

You, too, Vickie!!! The scale is moving in the right direction for both of you!

I hope your book arrives soon April...mine came in 3 days...hopefully yours will be as quick.

So...today is the last day of the meat and egg fast for me and then it's back to 1972 induction for a couple more weeks. I'm looking forward to adding salads back in...and revolution rolls...i LOVE those!

We are staying in a HoJo, and we have a full complimentary breakfast. Bacon and eggs. The eggs aren't the greatest, so breakfast is basically bacon. Maybe they'll have some sausage today. And the coffee comes with nasty creamer, so I had mine black. I do not care for black coffee, but I drank it anyway. Sophie enjoys their oatmeal.

Last night we did chinese, and I was able to make good choices. A nice small salad, and boiled shrimp, some teriyaki chicken and some ribs. None of the meat tasted as though they had put a lot of sweet gunk on it. I avoided those obviously glazed with corn syrup! Even if the meat had some sauce, I don't think it was enough to count against me. My problem is gettting enough water to drink. Tonight I think we'll do Red Lobster. They have great broiled seafood.

My book arrived Saturday and I finally got a chance to read some of it yesterday. I went to the store and got supplies and am starting this morning. I find it interesting that this version states that we can have two cups of salad a day. I'm so used to eating at least 3 cups of vegetables each day.

There's a computer emergency at work so I hafta get my lunch together and get out the door by 5:30am. I'm supposed to eat breakfast but don't know if I'll have time.

It's always hard for me to eat breakfast. This morning was a cheese stick.

I was able to stick quite close to the plan all weekend. The motel served a complete breakfast, so I had bacon, and a little of the scrambled eggs. (They were ok, but not great.) Had to have black coffee; all they had was artificial creamer. There was white bread, lots of pastries, cereal of all kinds, muffins, and fruit. I felt kind of weird eating just bacon, but it was enough.

We had Red Lobster Saturday night. I had the Create Your Own dinner with grilled salmon, broiled flounder and shrimp scampi, a caesar salad and no vegetable. It was very filling. Last night I made burgers with swiss cheese and bacon, and we had some leftover coleslaw. I know, that's not technically salad, but it had to be eaten!

Good Morning Ladies.

April...it's interesting how few carbs are really allowed on the original Atkins induction isn't it? And...he's talking 2 cups LOOSELY packed...that's not much at all. I hope you have a great day.

Nita...that's great that you were able to stay on plan so well during your trip...that's not always easy to do. I'm with you on the artifical creamer...YUCK!

OK....so today is really my first day fully back on the '72 induction. I had to go shopping before I could really end my meat and egg fast but here I am now. So far today I've had 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon with about 1/2 oz of cheese sprinkled on them. OK...better get to work.

have a great day everyone

Didn't get to eat breakfast because there was a computer emergency at work this morning that I had to take care of.

Sitting here eating lunch......
Hard salami - 4 slices
lettuce - 1 cup
radishes - 3
celery - 4
cucumber - several slices
leftover grilled steak

Have a great day, gals.

After reading some of Vickie's journal I gave this old school Atkins some serious thought and have orderd my book off Amazon for a pennie (plus $3.49 S&H) when it gets here I'm going to read it and do some old school Atkins as well. I'm feeling very motivated right now and have to keep this momentum up.

Lunch was salad (I prefer mixed greens to anything, then romaine second, iceberg last) and another cheese stick, a hard boiled egg, and 2 sausage patties. I think I have a cucumber in the fridge that will need to be eaten soon, so we'll probably add that to our supper salad. I didn't get to cook fish last week, so we might have that tonight. I'm going to stick to Level 1 for at least another week or 2, see if I can get the weight moving, before I start adding my 5 carbs. Haven't yet decided what I'm going to add. Probably more veggies.
