Oh my goodness Jess...I have this mental image of you hauling your coffee cup to your classroom with a hand truck! I know what you mean, I really love the taste of cream in my coffee....but I've also learned to love it without. It's almost like 2 different things and now the creamy one is a dessert type thing for me.

I hear ya Bethany....I love cream too...sometimes I just take a big sip of it right out of the container...oh my goodness, did I just admit THAT!?

OK gang...I had a REALLY bad night. I won't even go into detail about what I ate because one of the things I ate I wouldn't have even thought of except I read about it in someone's journal who had also eaten it! What's that?....sympathy cheating? Anyway....suffice it to say that last night was not good....this morning my stomach is pretty unhappy.....and I'm not sure what this weekend's going to be like. I seriously doubt if I will stay on plan...but I think I'll make better choices than I did last night!
Have a good weekend everyone. I'll be back Sunday evening

If I go off plan on a Friday or right before the weekend I am doomed. Sometimes at work too since I can get into the food and candy here but it's worse at home. Then I can take a fast trip to Family Dollar or get a big mac when I get Xander's bread and cheese.

I am still doing well on OAP. I made a batch of egg salad last night. In fact I'm just about to have it for lunch with some cucumber slices. Breakfast was a hamburger. I think I'll have tuna steak for supper. I took it out of the freezer this morning. There's a mayo/lemon juice marinade I've seen somewhere.

I finally got my bookThey had sent me the wrong edition , they said to keep it for my trouble, so now I have the 1972 book and the newer one as well. I am getting back to induction with the 1972 edition. I usually have good success with Amazon and this time they corrected there mistake as soon as I contacted them.

I just thought of a question to ask those o fyou who have been doing this 72 plan for a little while. When you went from level one to level two and added in five carbs hwo amny did you ahev a day? Or did you just figure you added them to the salad you were already having?

I've been figuring my carb counts and they are of course very low, about 5 a day. I have been having two packets of sweet and low with my tea for one each. I'm going to try and cut back on sweetener. Actually one packet for 16 ounces of tea is cutting back but I'll see if I can use half that eventually.

When you moved to level two did you keep the carbs about 10 before moving on or how did you figure that out. I'm thinking I should eat what I have been and then add five more carbs to makeup for some eggs, cheese or meat I may have had otherwise. Like adding in some faux coco wheats (flaxseed meal and protien shake) for breakfast some days. I know I'll have to have much less than what I use to. But I can build my way back up as I add carbs if I want. Just a quarter cup makes a good amount of cereal. Though I was having a half cup twice a day. I got really addicted to flaxseed meal.

Vickie, I laughed so hard at the thought of you imagining me hauling coffee with a hand truck into school! I was thinking of you this morning as I put LESS cream in my coffee... and guess what? It wasn't bad at all! In fact, it was pretty darn good! So, thank you for the suggestion. I'm definitely working at weaning myself off the cream. I do love love love the cream, but after looking at the nutritional info on the carton, I realize the less I use, the better.

Good luck this weekend, Noel. Weekends are hard for me too. I can't answer your questions b/c I haven't been doing this '72 plan for long.

Today was another good day for me. Breakfast was two microwaved eggs, lunch was a hamburger patty & salad. I snacked on some pork rinds and had lots of water. I also had my mega-mug of coffee with a little bit of cream & splenda to keep me happy all morning long. Dinner is going to be a salmon filet & more salad.

When I go to the grocery tomorrow, I'm going to get some cucumbers. I'm getting a little bit tired of salad & look forward to having some cucumber slices to change things up a bit.

BOT(back on track)

today back to day one, feeling great, a little mad at my self for letting this weekend get away from me food wise, but was dealing with other things and food was furthest from my mind...

breakfast today egg salad and coffee with cream

I too probably drink too much cream... never measure it just pour it in till it is the color I like...may have to start measuring and keeping to just a little bit....

Hope everyone has a great week

Four teaspoons of cream with this plan sure isn't much, Carolyn. I know I like to add until the right color too when I'm drinking coffee. I haven't had any lately though. But I was thinking of making some and doing what is suggested in the book with the whipped cream on top like a dessert.

Today I'm adding my 5-8 carbs. I already did that with my flaxseed meal. But it's such a small amount that I don't think I'll have that for a while. It's not satisfying after the amount I was eating before. So I'll add in something else. I have some killer salsa that is about 4 grams I think so I can have that with my chicken and I have broccoli and cauliflower in the freezer. So I should be good with having the 5 more grams to add each day. Oh I have to make some revolution rolls too.

I took a vacation day Friday and, believe it or not, I stayed completely on-plan the entire weekend clear up until last night at 9:45pm. That's when I had an overwhelming urge to NOT eat on-plan, and I had one thing I should never have eaten..........

Well........I had SEVERAL of that one thing.

And now I know why. TOM started about an hour ago.

So, starting fresh today and actually doing quite well, now that the overwhelming cravings are gone.

I don't measure my cream, either. Never have.

I've had one OMM, chocolate, when I needed a chocolate fix, and I've had a few bowls of lc cereal, and a couple of nut binges, but that's all the carbs I've added. Still haven't weighed. Gonna do that on Sunday morning.

TOM is a killer. I was fighting urges Saturday. Then it came Sunday and made me realize why. Thank goodness I don't have to keep anything in the house that's noton plan or for Xander. I have some lc discontinued chocolate bars in the basement someone gave me long ago and they didn't sound good at all.

Do the stores still carry "soya flour" I see it in the recipes in the back of the book and have no clue what it is.

I was wondering if soya was soy. My sister thought it might be. I had the soy flour in my hands at the store and put it back because I wasn't sure. I'll go get it when I get the heavy cream I forgot and cream cheese. I want to try the revolution bread. I'd love some french toast on weekends when I get to that level.

I did a massive shopping trip last night. Was thrilled to find the 1 carb ketchup at Target as the last store I was buying it at stopped carrying it a few months ago. I am set now. No chance of finding myself without choices.

After a week I can no longer eat as much in the morning as I had been. Two eggs cannot be finished. This morning my eyes were far bigger than my stomach when I made two scrambled eggs and four pieces of sausage. I got in two pieces of sausage and about an egg and a half. I think I'll just make one egg and two sausage links from now on. I had to get a little more pricey sausage to get some without fillers and it was pretty tasty, luckily it was on sale.

I'm so much happier to be able to have some more veggies now. I missed them last week. I had some diced zucchini and polish sausage last night. Yum. After 9 days on OAP I finally registered a deep purple this morning. It's been in the moderate range otherwise. Which is still good and where I'll strive to be as I keep adding in the weeks to come. I'm trying to get more in in the morning but it's hard. I don't want to be a late day eater so I'm having to retrain my brain. The ketosis helps but now it's overcoming the mental challenge of staying out of the fridge. I did it last night I've just got to keep it up.

I'm also battling the mental battle! Last night I was almost so so tempted by some horrid things some evil people had brought to class. These evil treats looked so good and I forgot to bring a snack, so I nearly caved. I just kept reminding myself how well I had been doing and what my goal was, so I didn't. Now if I can just keep that up...

I have added canned spinach and canned green beans because I'm bored with not having the veggies, I'm broke, and I have a surplus of these in the cupboard. I weighed in at 216 today, so I know it's going very, very well!
