Happy to have you, Heather.

I haven't actually cheated, just had too much of a few low carb items (homemade cookies, specifically), so technically I guess that IS a cheat! Better that than eating a box of Oreos ( which at one time I coulda done!)

Well--Glad that Turkey Day is over although I only ate small amounts of stuffing and yams...I'm back with a renewed spirit...Onward and forward...No cheats for me today...

Thanks Nita!

Today is a restart for me too Ophelia. Can't wait to not feel so bloated. Another good reason for keeping on plan.

Have a good day everyone!

I'm doing well, keeping my carbs and calories in a reasonable range. Learning portion control. Hoping to see more losses soon.

I'm doing pretty good. I tried to cheat last night but didn't go to far with it since I don't have good cheating foods in the house. Bought a small bag of donuts today for DH (per his request) and our 2 yr old. Convinced them of the small bag so that they could eat it quick and not share with me.

Ack, doughnuts! I love the little cake doughnuts dredged in powdered sugar. Well, I love anything dredged in powdered sugar! Couldn't have those anywhere near me!

Actually, I'm going to lay off the low carb treats, too, even homemade (well, except I'm going to a wedding reception Saturday, and taking a lc dessert, so I'll probably have a little taste of that!) I'm going to try to stick with only main dishes and veggies/salads. Perhaps this will help get these stubborn pounds to move.

That is exactly what they were too - powdered. It was cute watching ds eat them with his little gloves on. Black gloves of course that quickly turned white. Nothing that some playing in the snow won't get rid of though.

At least it wasn't chocolate covered doughnuts and white gloves! LOL.

I'm doing quite well. As long as I am at home for meals, and have control over what is set in front of me (because I'm the one who sets it there), then I am able to control my cravings and not cheat. It's when I have no control over the menu that I run into big trouble.

I hate eating away from home Nita. It's hard not to get pressured to eat treats from those who put love into what they prepare. I'm doing better and last birthday for nephew the cake and ice cream was passed out and I wasn't offered nor given any. Yippee! Took nearly 2 years of saying no before it stuck. Still being pressured each visit to drink alcohol which I don't do. I'm very cheerful without it can you imagine me drinking too? They'd never ask me again, maybe I should try it.

I've been really good all week. I had too much lc pound cake Sunday, but it sure was good! I have to be careful with even lc treats....just a little makes me want more. I've been thinking about that pound cake all week, and it's long gone! I'm tempted to make another one.......no, better not. I really don't need it. I'll just drink lots and lots of sweetened tea to satisfy that old sweet tooth. Wish I could just have the dang thing pulled!

Heather, last night I saw Good Eats - a fudge show! Alton Brown said that if a person doesn't have a sweet tooth (or teeth), he's not trustworthy! So, guess I better not pull mine, just retrain it!

I must be SUPER trustworthy then. Today at the store I thought about getting fudge chapstick but decided that it might start some cravings.
