Exclamation Time To Get Serious About This......

I have been on this board for some time now. However, I have been playing and dabbling (if you will) with low carb. However, I have been very successful in the past therefore, I know the wonderful effects to the program, I know good I feel and that if you really stick with it, that you will lose a termendous amount of weight. And did I mention how much I love the NO hunger thing? What other program can we say that about? Still thinking?????

I have every excuse in the world for not sticking with it. every tough time, every bad day, every chocolate craving. The excuses need to stop here once and for all.
My boyfriend ordered my engagement ring the other day!!!
Ya! A fat bride I will not be. I see pictures of me now and I think....I am bigger than him!! UGh! that has to be the one of the worst feelings in the world. And I know that it despite what he says, I know that deep down it does bother him. It bothers me, how could I think that it doesn't bother him. He has told me time and time again that all of his past g/friends were "skinny" ( I hate that word) so I think why wouldn't he want me that way? And in the past when I mention that "I know that my weight bothers you", he doesn't deny it one bit when I say that.

SO enough moaning groaning time to get serious about this and ready to lose the weight. 60 pounds is the goal. I have 9 months til the wedding ( or so no date as of yet, but that is what we are talking about) and 40 pounds lost I would look good and at 60 I would look great. I am going to for the look great and feel great 60.

So if you are marching to lose weight and you realized that it is time, maybe you have a certain event, goal whatever and would like to join me through my weight loss and give and receive some support this is the challenge for you!

I will be starting come this Sunday the 10th! I don't plan on stopping however. this challenge will take me through Induction (the fire starter) through OWL ( the on going fire burning of fat) through maintanence where I learn how to eat like a normal person who isn't addicted to food and the pleasure of eating.

I would love to hear from anyone that is looking for somewhere to hang their hat, ask questions, vent and just bathe in the glory of low carb.

COME ALONG!!!

Congratulations on the ring! You are quite pretty right now, and would make a beautiful bride, but I sure do understand wanting to lose for the big day! We'll be here rooting for you.

I wear my baggy pants until I absolutely have to get new. I'm finding, though, that a smaller size is sometimes too small, so I have to put up with baggy for a while. They just don't make "in between" sizes. I just got a pair of pajamas that I ordered in what is my size, and they are extremely loose. Also too long, but very warm and snuggly. I bought the size I should be wearing now. If I'd ordered a size below, they most probably would have been too small! Since they don't make standard sizes, who knows what size we should really be? A 20 in one garment would be an 18 in another, and a 22 in another! No wonder we're so confused all the time!

PQ, I'm so proud of you for sticking to this. It's really hard, but you have motivation, and spunk, and you're doing so well!

Thumbs up Re: Time To Get Serious About This......

Thanks Nita,
You are always there to stand by and support me with nearly every thread thanks! I understand that whole size thing to be honest. I would say that I am between the 16-18 right now. So I just take it in stride and wear them anyways. The jeans that I had on last night shopping out with the fiance however, he said....Hun, the butt that you never really had is completely gone in those jeans. Maybe you need a belt. I was beaming, until I remembered that I wasn't quite ready to do the shirt tuck just yet.
However getting dressed this morning I looked down, glanced in the big mirror that I usually hide from most of the time and thought......ahhh progress!!! Belly is going down,..but .miles to go before I sleep....Robert Frost....
