I will be here Monday, January 1st, 2007.

Pure Induction - 2 full weeks.
Posting my menus.
Committing (ok, recommitting) to the Adkins way of life.
and recommitting to getting my butt back to Curves.

I'm sure plenty of the rest of you will be doing the same.

So, lets post menus. Maybe it will help us if we share what we are having and doing.

Challenge is to commit to the 2 week induction, and stick to it.

Whooee, Mary Kay. I'm gonna try!! I ordered DANDR from Amazon yesterday. My books are packed and I don't expect to see them until Spring when we move again. I'm really gearing up for Jan. 1.

I checked out 3 of the Atkins books from the library this weekend and have been gearing up myself! I'm in MK and Peg! Let's DO IT!
Also, my mom and brother are visiting us from 1/17-1/27, so at least I'll be through those first two weeks and have a handle on temptations before they get here!!

I'm bumping this........

I, also, have DANDR and have begun reading it again. I also ordered Dr. Oz's "You, On A Diet." It explains, in plain english, what happens to your body when you have "middle" fat (which I do). I'll be following Atkins, though. I have had really good success with it and will again, I know. My biggest challenge will be giving up wine and starting exercise. Sigh.

Yeah Peg.
I pretty much got through DANDR on the airplane yesterday. I am ready for this.

Hitting the grocery tomorrow to pick up my necessities.
Throwing away/ giving away/ all the xmas leftovers cookie/treats.
family may not appreciate it, but TOO BAD!!!
They had a week to get rid of it.

Hey, MK, Peg, Heather......go for it! I am getting back on track, too....but maybe not Induction! I wish you all the best and I'll stick my head in the door to encourage you all.

I did my almost $300 worth of shopping tonight.....meals at my house are going to be lowcarb and heathy. If you want to eat garbage, go ahead, just not here. That's the way it is here....there's a new sherriff in town! LOL!

Take care and Happy New Year!

Hey MK! I had corned beef and cabbage. We don't have a lot in the way of groceries, NEED to go to the store, but of course they are closed (they were closed yesterday too!) I'm either having the rest of the corned beef/cabbage or some tuna in a little bit. Not too exciting, but on plan.

Hi Gals!

Third day for me. Yesterday was ghastly for my mood. I was awful. I've stayed clean for the last three days. But, it has been hard. The hardest thing has been giving up my "happy hour" glass of wine. We used to live on a lake, and our habit had been to sit on the deck with a drink (my dh usually drinks tea). Neighbors would gather and we would socialize for an hour or two and then go home for dinner. It's been very hard to give that up.

But, I've stayed under 25 carbs each day and under 1200 calories. Dh does the cooking here. He fixed me the most delicious omellete tonight; filled with cheese, bacon, beef, zuchini, yummy! Put that together with a salad and I am stuffed! Yay!

I'll be back,
Peace, Peg

Good job, Peg! Can we talk about moods? I'm just finishing up the monthly fun, and have been on induction for 10 days. I'm not sure what might be responsible for these moods.
I woke up so sad. Day before yesterday, the bagger lady at the grocery store and I (in a handoff of a bag) dropped it and broke my natural peanut butter. She was SO nice, offered to pay for it, but I was just so frustrated, oil all over everything, glass everywhere, dh and I didn't say a word all the way home. He knew I was really upset. I don't like being mad, frustrated and sad!
I know the monthly deal is probably part of it, and being a gazillion miles away from home going on about 4 months (including holidays) doesn't help, but blech! I hate this!!

OK, sorry for that rant. I'll put it in my journal where it belongs! I'm still doing ok on the induction, AND weighed this morning...4 pounds in 10 days!!
