On track 100 day challenge!

I am doing good, my 5 day, already down to 68, 3 kgs less Hoping to catch up on me water. I have a nice recipe for you guys,this is what I love to eat , and did day ago, its called "chevapchici" -is serbian grill:
Traditional Balkan recipe: Ćevapi - Grilled rolls of minced beef, pork and lamb, served with chopped fresh onion
Ingredients for Ćevapi :
  • 150g lean beef mince
  • 100g lean lamb mince
  • 50g pork mince
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 100g onion, minced
  • 20ml water
  • 20ml oil
  • hot chili to taste (optional)
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste (1-2 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda (optional)
Method:
  1. Combine well all ingredients for Ćevapi. Refrigerate mixture over night.
  2. Using hands, shape the Ćevapi mixture into uniform rolls.
  3. Cook the Ćevapi on a hot lightly oiled barbecue grill or frypan for 6-10 minutes, turning frequently.
  4. Ćevapi can be served on its own or between slices of lepinja.

Wow that looks scrumptious Ivana!

Day 29 on plan here today!! Survived Saturday night ok, always a test. I ended up having ribs and cole slaw.
Today is shopping, preparing, cleaning and rest!

Ivana, that looks delicious!

Day 27, still hanging in there, but I've begun day one of being more strict with my carbs. I had 3 eggs made into a little custard with a tbs of Hood milk and a tbs of cream and some liquid splenda and vanilla for breakfast. Lunch was a burger with smoked gouda, a few small slices of a chicken breast, 1/2 an avocado, all that heated on my grill pan, and then the last of the cherry tomatoes. It was a very colorful lunch. I think supper is going to be a taco salad.

Day 28 is looming ahead of me. It's going to be a good day. I think. Although I didn't have breakfast.....hmmmmm....guess I'll have to see what I have here in the office fridge. Maybe some cheese, maybe an EAS shake. Should've had some eggs or something at home. Wasn't hungry.

1/30-day 36!! Yesterday was NOT good. I did fine on the carb counts, but my food was just bleck! i had tuna twice, and then I was planning to have bbq pork for dinner with green beans, and ended up eating green beans and some nuts. I didn't like the bbq, and it was a bit of a let down for the day. I'm going to make some quiche and start today on a more positive note...and chicken parmesan tonight!

30 days today. Hoping to see a bit more weight loss. I've been having too many blueberries with splenda and cream. So for February no blueberries and cream for moi!

Doncha hate that, Gregg? I find something I really like, and then over do it and have to cut it out! Good for you in doing so.

Today is January 31. Wow, the last day of January. And day 37 on the challenge. I'm really kind of surprised at myself. But I HATE to quit, so as long as I'm in the challenge, I'm on track. AND...

New motivation! We are going to a family reunion in July. Hosted by my bro and sis in law who have a pool. (read: must wear a swimsuit in front of a ton of new relatives, many of whom I've never met!) SO...if that doesn't motivate me to exercise, be good on the water...getting some as soon as I finish this post...then I don't know what will!!

Short term goal is 160 by the end of this challenge. That's 4/4. Long term goal is 145 by June 30, when we leave for our vacation to the states/the reunion. Looking at it in print kind of makes it look harder. I'm going to hope that I am closer to 155 or 150 by April, otherwise, that's 15 lbs in 2 months! hhhmmmm....

Today is day 30, and the scales say I have lost 2.5 lbs since Sunday. Don't know yet if I believe them. I think it's helping that I'm not snacking at night.

2/1/07-Day 38!
Well, I am still fighting with the scale. BUT...I all lifted my shirt up this morning and said to dh, "HEY, do you think my stomach is getting smaller?" He said, "yeah!" Now, maybe he's just saying that, but I can see it, and I am quite happy about it.
I'm sticking with it, and looking forward to feeling great in my swimsuit in July!

Starting in on the water and going to eat some pizza in a bit!

Wow it's day 32 already!!

Heather you are doing great! We'll all be looking good by summer too if we keep on!

Nita, way to hang tough. Even tho you aren't seeing the losses you want it's good
that you are hanging in.

Still on track here too! Can't wait to lose a few more pounds.

Whats great about this challenge is that we are in it together. 100 days seems like a long time, but with each other's encouragement we'll make it and be so much better off because of it.
