Default 2007 Eating On Plan for a Full week Challenge

Here is a challenge for all of you out there (like me) who like short-term goals.

It seems that people tend to stick to stuff when they have small, short-term goals. " One day or week at a time" goals... If we all pitch in and try our best to have the short-term goal of having "ONE WEEK OF CLEAN EATING" at a time we may accomplish more and help our long-term goals, of having a lifetime of healthy eating...

So let's hear from you people who want to have little goals that will eventually add up to one BIG one.

Report in daily as to how you are doing....and weekly if you succeeded...and if you didn't (it happens) there is a brand new week RIGHT THERE in front of you to try again.

Okay I'll go first. An excellent on plan day yesterday. Better than I've done in 2 years I believe. Day #1!

Had a pretty good day too Rob and now I'm onto day #2.

I joined the 100 day challenge but it's nice to just work day by day here too. Thinking that I have to make it to I believe April 11 can be overwhelming. I only have to make it to Sunday here to get this mini goal in. Mini goal to the big goal is the way to go.

Heather - That's why i like this challenge. a week is as far as I can wrap my head around. overwhelming is a good choice of words for a long challenge but I admire anyone who can achieve that or who even tries to.

Another very good day yesterday! I've lost some of that holiday carb bloat already - was down 4 pounds from monday morning. Day #2!

Had a good day yesterday, moderate carbs & calories, but can do better! Today is starting out good, too. Looks like about a half pound down, give or take an ounce!

I've gotten 2 days down. and its getting easier.
did find some cookies I had stashed pre-xmas - gave them to my son.
no candy, no cookies, and the cravings are much less now.

I have had a little cream cheese/splenda to cut the sweet needs the last 2 nights - but there is much worse I could have. And I haven't!!!!

Looking good!! I'm going to claim day 3 today. Thankfully I'm not hungry but will eat my dinner in an hour in 1/2 to get those 1200 calories in I need, then I'm off to church and then back home for my victory bath before bed. Day 3....Yippee!!! :jump:

Today begins day 3, and the last 2 days have been good for me. I've been able to avoid lc treats, my biggest downfall. If I don't make them, I don't eat them!

Way to go Heather and Nita!

I'll claim yesterday as an on plan day but only guiltily. really ate way too many carbs for my new plan. I stopped at my sister's house after skipping lunch and was so straving that i had some low carb ice cream adn some sugar free cookies. That was 20 carbs right there. lowered my carbs for dinner to make up for it but still ended the day at 50. But as i said I'll claim a day #3 because it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I think this mini goal sounds great. I don't have many long term goals under my belt at this time.

Yesterday I had a schedule change and was starving by the time I got to the store to get appropriate food...well by that time I ate and ate some more. It wasn't anything like a binge I might have had in the past, but I was suprised at what a problem getting really hungry can be. I am not letting myself get hungry like that again...Feeding Frenzy was the term I'd use for yesterday although it wasn't horrible, it was off plan and I don't feel as good today.

End of week reward...Home Spa Day!

One day down. I'm feeling fat today though. Oh well...
Maybe some exercise will help.

Three days over, well into the 4th, and feeling good, confident that I will succeed. And I've lost 3 lbs this week! Yippee! I haven't seen that much loss since I lost my vacation bloat! So, maybe this old bod is ready to let go of some more of it's reserves.
